  1. I have been told in the past the biggest bullies are the ones who are bullied in their life. It seems to me you must have a really bullied world outside of this forum because all you do is try to bully people out of their right to have a view. it is funny to recall your post of indignation when somebody gave yu a seeing to,something on the lines of 'iDont belittle my viewpoint blah blah blah' I can't be bothered to go back and find it , but it was a golden post. You add to this forum sometimes but you don't half try and bully people off their rightful viewpoint
  2. Well until a couple of seasons ago if you asked most on here to name 3teams from Germany or Spain neither of those would be in many peoples minds. They still have the disadvantage of teams with massive reputations and history in front of them. There is nothing wrong in ML and NC believing and putting in a mindset into our club and staff that we could compete. I tell you what CB you go and see how many decent players we will get when Reed tries to sell the club to incoming players of a relegation struggle club, who will let themselves be blackmailed all the time. Personally I was delighted we had NC at the top who didn't listen to people whose intention was to destabilise the club. Yep we are so lucky that now he has gone we have our stripes back, a book is now on sale in the clubs shop and Frannie can now strut around again. We've got our club back alright, just as I remember it under Wilde and co
  3. don't kid yourself that if they were going to get less £££££,s they would be in such a headlong rush to leave and their agents even less keen. The chance of CL and titles is an added bonus
  4. shouldnt this be on the Liverpool forum? He's gone and we have to look elsewhere for heroes.
  5. Lets see how much we spend. IMO we are a playing a game of smoke and mirrors where we make noises to spend a lot but will spend a fraction of the money we take in,I do hope to be proved wrong
  6. did NC say we were going to win the CL? Many oh here are happy to accept mediocrity (Me also, as i want stability and understand our limitations of the club) ML and NC did not have those low expectations.People forget it seems that ML had total trust in NC and they had a bond. In business I have seen many people whose siblings were never as smart or business savvy and the wealth lost. So far i have not seen brilliant business decisions since ML passed away. To me NC turned a 13m asset into a 100m asset. This time next season we may be back to a 50m asset. NC IMO had a desire and confidence that he could turn the club into a force, (he may of been wrong of course)and that could well have transmitted as he got the better players to either sign long contracts or indeed sign for us. He may have cancelled a book order (again there could be valid reasons) but he drove our football club to a level that we had not envisaged some time ago. I doubt Dortmund fana or Athletico fans really believed they would reach the heights either
  7. the problem is that any player we are looking to buy will be looing and seeing our squad decimated. To somebody outside would then perhaps think they were joining a relegation threatened season and may look at other offers. Perhaps NC vision he used to get some decent players to join is now not being used and Reed etc cannot persuade quality to come here. The next fortnight will show how much NC's departure has hurt us. I accept some players would have left for big wages but all of them???
  8. Very continental looking, perhaps a Dutch/Swiss input. I personally prefer last seasons. Oh for the days with no sponsor on the front
  9. Was it not rumour about RL going to WHU I have not seen any evidence. personally i would have RL finished his career with us, but if we are going to get 4mplus for him and at his age then it was decent business.
  10. I understand Lovren wanting to move after 11months, he arrived with the club buoyant and on the up, then within months the man who sold the club to him and a lot of the best players as well. i agree with CB fry that added to that if the chance of earning massive wages you would have your head turned. Lovrens quality and importance to us is far more that 20m.
  11. Is Adam trying out his 'Calm. Down, calm down' technique . Why not a picture of him celebrating with the fans after scoring, a really odd choice
  12. to keep high quality players would send a message to players joining us that we have a decent core.Selling all the best will mean any decent payers will not want to join
  13. were we going to buy Colin bell all those years ago ? if so I didnt know that
  14. he is worth more to us than 20m as we need a strong defence. he is not easy to replace
  15. agitating to get away weakens our position and so costs us potential millions in fees. if we stood our ground it may cost us a few hundred thousand until the player understands that he needs to play or he will never get a move in the future. Yes i understand he will still go in time but it would give the club breathing space to stop this death by a thousand cuts
  16. Will clubs ever stand up to this action? I know it would take courage to take a stand on this but blackmail needs to be resisted. Is Lovren with the same agent as AL if so it seems their strategy seems to be the same as it worked last time
  17. both IMO but. I respect others may have a different view.AL had said RL had spoken to him about the move, I have not seen any quotes re Lovren and so cannot say that is fact but I believe it would be the case if Liverpool are after him
  18. I very much doubt the Vman is Adam as there are far too many words in his post
  19. I agree the dream died when those 2 left, many won't agree though. AL just didn't do it the right way and so is the point of our anger
  20. or in time the penny will drop and fans will realise that RL has played a part like Gerrard in persuading AL and you never know Lovren away. I accept him leaving to go back to Liverpool but I do not feel happy if he has also kicked us by encouraging others to join him.
  21. I am not sad he has gone as I believe we have got a fantastic price for a player who has tricky feet but cannot hit the ball with any pace, the amount of times he scuffs shots is ridiculous for a professional footballer, as for heading the ball!! I really cannot remember him ever doing so. You will ask why all the angst? I think it is seeing a large part of our club being torn away with Lambert and. Pottichino leaving at the same time let alone others may follow. Of all the players to leave AL was one who has been with us during the fall and rise and so many look on him as one of us, and the indecent way he left us/angled for a move. He apparently is an Everton fan and so his love of Liverpool is somewhat strange, I don't think his appetite to join you would be the same if he was getting a pay-cut. Liverpool is a massive club and so it is natural for a players head to be turned, I look forward to see how the fans react if Suarez is sold and AL is the new provider. Enjoy the 60-70 minutes he will bring to your team on match day, but I suppose that's all you will need from a 25m substitute.
  22. I don't think it would matter if it was a double whiskey with you, it seems beyond doubt
  23. Wanyama is combined with Lovren the main reason our defence was so tight at the start of the season. Wanyama like Lovren would be immense again this season, dont underrate how important he is
  24. to be fair the original letter is using quotes from the Star. I do get your drift though
