Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"
OldNick replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
NC doesn't cook and serve the food I assume. There are managers and should be axed if they are nots providing the service the club should provide. Are the caterers outside caterers or employed by the club? Whilst NC is the chairman and the buck stops with him,he can't also be expected to know all the problems. RL was derided by talking our world class catering,it has now become important to fans on here. -
I know we think they are not bright but surely they would not get property developers involved if they are likely to build on the ground.surely they will be looking to develop Gaydameks land connected to FP and rent the ground back. It seems to me a fantastic deal for all parties. The big question is will BC want to throw a lot of money at this. He will know that the league and politicians are on the Skates side. Cameron's neighbour Charlie Brooke's is a Pompey fan,no doubt he has been in the PM,s ear,no doubt Penny,s husband the tax inspector may have been in HRMC ,s case as well.

MLT one of the finest players to pull our shirts. My hero but off the pitch he does seem a plank when it comes to the media.Perhaps NC still feels aggrieved at how the Pinnacle debacle held up the takeover and so we may have lost a year in our progress. It must be remembered that Pinnacle nearly made us lose our club forever. However much I thank Matt for all the great goals,IMO he was reckless with our survival -
you do yourself no justice with that post.
-
It is about time these people got properly punished
-
You all have long pockets, you've be living off everyone else for decades
-
RL may well have had a shot at the goal wheras our forwards seemed to want to pass rather than have a pop at goal. I thought we looked a lot more energetic when Shelvey came on and impressed me as i have never rated him before. he changed the tempo
-
I want them gone forever, that is justice in my eyes. There would have been little tears from them had we gone. I survived decades without a derby,if Jiommy Saville came back as a born again christian would that cleanse his past?
-
very true. I have never thought of us as a super club, we are just a good sized provincial club. if we are successful we will get good crowds, if not we will be back to the hardcore fanbase plus a few. No different to 99% of British clubs. No shame in that.

all this slapping each other on the back in congratulation will blow up in our faces. Pompey have wriggled and squirmed and defied all logic. If things were even they would have been gone years ago, they are the cockroaches of football even when the nuclear option is used they will survive. it is a travesty

they are massive clubs due to 2 things. Religious bigotry and winning trophies every season from day one. Yes they are massive clubs but it is nothing to do with football or how great their fans are. It is catholic you support Celtic , protestant you support Rangers. the hatred ingrained in that makes them passionate.Let in stay contained in Scotland thank-you

Can anybody fulfill their due diligence until the Baker Tilley report is out?
-
Yes, it has just come back to me that you were the modern day Zero's I mean Zorro's fighting your corner of ridding the club of corruption etc and against all odds, as the other Skates were celebrating the Fa cup, playing in the PL/Europe, fielding teams of star players, and cheating all around. The Germans were only Nazi's when they were winning, as soon as it turned bad they became partizans. (i am of course not comparing yourselves as Nazis, but the mindset)

i have never been on the bus but at the same time acknowledge how well NA has done. Iam all for stability but if he does not learn from his mistake yet again then i can see him losing a lot of goodwill. Those lost points due to his bad substitutions could cost us dear at the end of the season. It is not only Saints fans who could not believe subbing RL in both games, it has been said to me by many fans from other clubs

Iam noticing quite a few posters coming on putting very negative threads and posts. 5th coloumnists by any chance. POL getting their own back perhaps?
-
There was similar stuff aimed at Andy Carroll but he will come good. Jay showed to me he had what it takes, you don't,that's football for you
-
I notice a lot of new posters making new threads, whether it be attendances or sacking the manager etc etc. I'd be a tad careful we dont have a few ghost fans on here
-
you have to hand it to the Hall bloke he has done a wonderful bit of digging. As a fan of his club it must hurt big time to make these things public, as he would well know he is using a stick to beat the club he loves. He may be a Skate but a decent man, well done. I wish a few more were like him.
-
Just being picky, Lambert came off at 1-0 up and then we lost the rest of the game 2-1
-
Curbishly it is then
-
RL is the teams talisman. He gives the rest of the team confidence and skill that puts pressure on the opposition.when he is taken off the rest of the team lose something. Add to that his defending and it seems madness to take him off. AL would have Ben missed less

Most hated Celebrity who is still alive and why?
OldNick replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Lounge
Lenny Henry, and all those who make a career from reality tv -
Sharp is not the answer ,jay looked ok today
-
I think the criticism of Jay is very unfair. He was far more effective than AL. Why AL is CaPtain is beyond me as well
-
Adkins expression at the end of the match was of resignation..... He does not look like the relaxed manager we have sen for the last 2 seasons
