It is obvious you are against this and will be using a stick to beat it all the time. For me ive waited since the late 60's 70's for us to have a true end, whilst the bike shed is the closest , it wasnt really a large section of fans, not sure how many were in there but the Northam will have far more. Before anybody mentions the Milton and says that was an end, it was a free for all, god when the London clubs and Manchester came down it was madness, just a thin row of Bobbies trying to keep the fans apart!!!. I remember the Chief of Police coming on the stadium speakers saying if the fighting didnt stop the game would be abandoned. I know im now seen as an old duffer, but I feel glad I saw those days and have the experience of seeing the wonderful change and safety of going to a game compared to then.

It seems unless he can pass like KDB and spray the ball in all directions we will not be interested in someone saves the ball and keeps the ball out of the net.
-
Yes it is always fun and I take it as that. It of course be 'you heard it here first, we're not going to tell you what it is until it has happened, but we were in the know'
-
we cant risk our importnt players pre playoffs. So we lose to Stoke, in the bg picture its not important, if we lose the playoffs then lets go for him
-
he was only going to play players who wanted to run
-
I think the knee jerk stuff needs waiting until after the play offs
-
Can we recall Tall Paul for the playoffs? give us an outlet and probably be able to put the ball in the net lol
-
I thought the idea of the possession based stuff was to tire out the opposition and so we could score late in games? It seems to me that the reverse has happened!!! Kaleidoscope football, lots of very pretty patterns but nothing comes of it. Im not for RM to be gone but I think he needs to show that he is prepared to mix it up a bit and stop allowing the opposition to reset their defence due to our slow build up play
-
Iam surprised that we have not blooded some of the Acadamy players for a few minute cameos, just to make them feel that there is a future. Concerned they may move on if the pathway is not seen to be there
-
I have always been dubious of the possession that doesnt produce the reward compared to opponents less possession but similar goals against. I have kept my powder dry as to be fair we went on a recrd run and so it must work to some degree. I thought thogh the opponents are supposed to be tired and they let in the late goals!! I think we should hold fire until the season finishes before really spouting too much bile
-
Not sure about that, as big match experience may be important where we are now. He has experienced big game atmospheres and we have a few of those to come
-
I dont think so, youve done rather well as you have😇

Ive seen McCarthy make some match winning saves, so much so he was player of the season one time. I cant recall which game it was now as was a few seasons back but we were winning in a season where we were struggling against relegation when he made an incredible save a pushed the ball over the bar. I understand that he is poor with his feet but call me old fashioned but I like a keeper to save the ball. He IMO was harshly treated by the football academics on here, but I suggest most of his critics could not save anything in a Post Office account let alone on a football pitch. Time will tell but I feel Macca is an upgrade on saving the ball, obviously not at passing it out.

So we have for 2 seasons had to put up with the pain of constantly conceding in the hope he will improve. Of course once we've had to put up with all the crap for a few seasons he could nicely honed for another club who will get the positives. I truly hope Baz proves us wrong and starts to prove his worth, but I have pointed out for a long time he is not up to it (yet)and he cost us in tight games.

Note to the recruitment team, Don't buy a keeper from Man City as pep seems to know a good one
-
Hey Saint Cark, I have to apologise that I scoffed when you mentioned Josh Sargent being a decent forward. I have been proved wrong on this occasion. Good from you.

wasnt it KWP who let the player have the freedom of St Marys?
-
First in with the news MB, I know you are well informed. No doubt the COT put this up somewhere in one of their quatrains
-
this will never get off the ground as Turkish has not made it up. I thought here must be some new merchandise out there somewhere, as I heard some lads saying COT mugs this and COT mugs that, but it turns out it was just an observation!

during the cup game, not when we went back to our better starting line up
-
I used cup games as an example where changes show how we lose our rhythm
-
Its a forum and we all think we know more than the manager. As soon as the BC team was announced it was obvious to me we'd struggle. How many times have we weakened the team with changes for a cup game and we've then been dire? We had 2 injuries and so that was enough, to add 2 more changes just made us disjointed. We have won plenty of games, but have also been not clinical/professional to keep conceding a late equaliser. That is costing us. Iam not gagging to get back to the PL , what does it give us? A ego trip to say we are in the league that basically the media are only interested in 5 teams, where we are the whipping boys time and again. Where we find some gems who then are taken away to feed the top 5 or 6. I have been watching for many decades andso have become disillusioned with it all. No VAR is also a plus, I accept we will lose a lot of our best players (nothing new there, most are loans anyway) and we will be left with the dross on big contracts we cant get rid of.

Play offs I think are going to be fine, getting through to Wembley is a different story. I believe the keeper has cost us too many last 5 minute goals to lose us the win, and also the mistake against Millwall put us in a bad position. Its not only him, but last season he was left in the firing line after mistake after mistake. He is young and will progress, we will take the mistakes, he will learn and then other clubs will gain from his experiences with us when he as become more polished. i still cant get my head around that the keeper has to be good with his feet but paper over they rarely makes a save. I truly hope Bazunu does make it to the big time but it is to a cost to us. He is still very young of course.

I doubt that will change. There will be the return of Corp HO no doubt lol
-
I think he could have deserved it lol
