  1. All due respect Stu but are these the same fans who wanted to boycott ?
  2. Lol and it will cost the club nothing,.Stu finance companies do nothing for 'nothing' the club will be charged for this service so it is not free. Quite frankly we have so many fans who need molly coddling that to keep them happy probably costs more than they get through the turnstiles.
  3. the thing is though, if you earn 500k you live up to that with the lifestyle they live. Therefore a lot of these people do not feel rich, they look at people in their social circles who are doing better and want to be at their level and so on. in my business dealings over the years, the people i call very wealthy are still not happy as they feel they could be earning more. it is not greed by the way, although to many it would seem that way. I may also add they do their best to screw every penny out of any transaction made.
  4. by being non doms I suspect. Taxes should not stop when you become a bilionaire. Im happy for them to get some tax breaks but some of it is a joke
  5. He sits/stands in the Northam a couple of rows behind Master bates
  6. This is the next problem, the expectations of the fans is going to make it harder for us next season. The season past was comfortable with the fans fully behind the team/club as we were only half expectant, next season and if we get off to a average start !!!!!!! it is not worth thining about
  7. Iam all for people making fortunes but at the same time I find it distatsteful that people like Sir Phillip Green makes billions but them pays nothing in taxes. His arguement is he is providing jobs etc etc but if he didnt supply the goods someone else would who pays taxes. There is no defence against billionaires not paying taxes into the system and alll loopholes should be closed immediately
  8. that will add fuel to the fire.
  9. If they had the balls, but it will take men of steel to actually say 'no you are goners' These are football people who will do their utmost not to see clubs go to the wall. I think at best they may well give a large points penalty, but i doubt they will be brave enough to be the people to cause the clubs liquidation. In this Im torn, sometimes id love to see them gone forever but then I see decent fans who cant help where they were born who don't deserve to lose their club. A long spell in the backwaters again would be justice for all the good days they have had after the cheating and overindulgences of the last few years.
  10. i assume that AA will use the 'If you penalise us , you will be responsible for the club folding' card
  11. Jason, surely then as this is so easy, why not find a drawer and put each installment in it and forget it is there until you pay in august. The club are not fans savings scheme. I think we are doing a lot of fans a disservice as Im sure most will have shrugged their shoulders and made alternative arrangements.
  12. things are looking up this morning. Perhaps the HMRC have been formulating a plan afterall
  13. Mine alos but the thread that is hanging off the badge annoys me....so I expect they'll keep it on
  14. so to let fans pay by installment, we have to have barcode/swipe machines fitted at a cost of 300k (Grantys figure) it may be 100k who would pay? Oh the fans by higher ticket charges. Then the fans complain at the rip off prices. Surely it is not beyond most if not al to get a credit card.
  15. Not many and the ones I have read not so.You living in the US could not say so.
  16. Cant you remember the days of my supporting Burley Lol Surely the same arguement could be used by both sides. I have been sympathetic for most of my life to Israel but in the last few years I have watched them go against reasonable action, and so I have lost much respect for their 'plight'
  17. If and when the ship entered Israels international waters then they had a right to take the boat over. The Turks i would have thought can easily say what the Israelis are saying, by using the iron bars, that they were defending themselves. If I was on a boat and the Israeli special forces were absailing down i would be in fear of my life and would look to either surrender or defend myself with anything to hand. They did not have kalashnikovs. I dont think Britain can dictate, but it is the world who are up in arms and only the US being an allie is saving them. Defend them if you wish, but IMO on this occasion I think that Israel is totally out of order. Im not a liberal but the situation out there is never going to be rectified by actions like this and it is about time Israel actually became pro-active in getting things sorted. In time as the Lebanon conflict has shown, they will be hard pressed to win battles as their opponents become better equipped. Iran will help quietly and I dearly hope that their nuclear capibility does not become of any note
  18. they have only been listed as a PL club, in no other way could they be counted as so. I did find it amusing that when I saw on Sky the attendance averages that Wigan of the South and Wigan of the North were the bottom 2 clubs in that list.
  19. if countries want to annihilate them , then they should be able to defend themselves. Do not confuse defending with attacking a ship in international waters. The Israelis want peace in their terms only. If they were intent on that they would leave the occupied territories
  20. To me the Israelis are treating the world as Pompey have the footballing world, their rules legal or not they plough their way through, they have the US protecting them and so seem fireproof. It is not right and the settlements that are spreading will only make all the tensions rise. I obviously dont know all the history and each and every case but all my life the Palistians have had a raw deal IMO. Our press has demonised the Arabs (rightly or wrongly)
  21. of course if we had pushed them out of mainland UK into less fruitful areas and also stopped a large amount of their supplies coming in , then I suspect we would understand why they were doing it and do something about it. The IRA thrived due to Noraid and the support of the US
  22. As it is a British company, the oil giants over there will want to wound BP so it can't come back and compete against them again. If you want to gamlbe they fix the leak in the next 2 days then Im sure there will be a bounce but if the leak goes on for another couple of months then look out. Sad that a massive British company that provides us wealth is in this state.
  23. Lumuah, thanks for that, I think alos the Sun and NOTW also did something as well. Appreciate the trouble you took
