It will take a hell of a judge to kill them off now. The pressure will be intense from all sections of the media. I understand the law of the land and all that, but they live a charmed life. There seems to be one law for us and special laws for the PL. I expect a fudge after fudge and time given until they get out of it. We now have the PL and FA needing them to survive, it will be in their interests now to pay the HRMC off to keep both the 'competitions integrity' Lol. The media are happy for them to carry on and i suspect most people outside So postcodes dont care. They are playing on an unfair playing field but Brum did not object and the FA have turned a blind eye. they are going to come out of it, as I cant see any toast at present.

Minty,I can';t believe it, FFS you have thrown the home team into complete disarray. I do hope that the fear of my hairdryer at half time has put you off, Sebastian (my hairdrier) was looking forward to getting his hands on you. I dont know if we have been weakened or strengthened with your withdrawal, although after the way Granty has been plying the team selection Im fully expecting Steven Hawking to be playing at right back.

did anyone see the Burnley chairman on sky sports when talking about Pompey and said 'the football family and should be helped' Where was the football family for Leeds saints B'moiuth Chester etc..oh of course the PL football family
-
I heard a small snippet from South Today and Im sure they said the PL were going to help Pompey. Pompey are going ot get away with it.

I dont know what others in the administrator world think but are they surprised that the loan players have not been dispatched yet to help reduce the bills. He seems to be carrying on like they were before

Sadly I took it that you emant it and would have those beliefs, my mistake. We are in L1 and I agree a player with all attributes would not be playing at that level. We are fortunate to have many who now I beleive are getting to a level that is above where they are playing now. is it down to them or the manager I can't say. All I know is that Iam enjoying going to watch the team again and frankly couldnt care if it is L1 or PL the entertainment and value for money is there.

Interesting to look at the squad compared to now.

was that the Lazio one

Good game , top marks for all

I agree that Waigo is not better than the front 2 on show last night, but he is one of those players who keep you on the edge of your seat. One minute despair the next celebrating a goal from nothing. He works for the team and was the first to go over to the lad who missed his chance and give him some encouragement. A top person and a great player to scare the oppostion in the last 20 minutes. I would sign him

well I think it was during MM's period as well as I was under the impression that a large accountancy firm were offered the job under him and they refused as they said their systems were so poor that money was disappearing and not sure where. Now that is not neccessarily due to dirty deeds of course but the structure of the club was still Div 4.

Please do not compare AL with MLT, it is unfair on AL to be burdened with that and also unfair to compare his with MLT's mercurial skills. At 22 MLT was head and shoulders above where AL is now (no shame in that) As for criticising KD for goals, with our lacklustre defence over the past few seasons it is only KD's briliance that has kept the scores down. Even last night he made a save that kept the game from changing its course.

i wish you were the same when you do your line calls...lol

On this occasion i am on Alps side of the fence sorry StC.

The ricky Lambert song is very good. Im sorry but it is difficult to get new classics like 'knees up mother brown' going around. lol

add pace and decision making to that and you are correct. He looked as good as I have ever seen him play last night, and showed heart and commitment.Well done AL

Lallana is not my type of player for this league. I dont think he has been that good in his defensive and tracking back until last night, and for the first time I really felt he now had the stomach for the fight. i congratlate him for that and hope he carries it on to future games. I can then also put him down then as a must play.. KD position is not a problem to me. Last night he should have come for 2 crosses in the first half, apart from that he made a blinding save when it was 1-0 (?)

barnard every time. He works hard and a natural goalscoring instinct as well as a bit of bite. To liken him to Ormerod is a real slieght Imo

Ginge you could be 100% correct but there have been many false dawns. Until i see they have had there correct punishment i will advocate they are getting away with it. The minus 9 is 99% certain but still not rubber stamped, as soon as I keep reading football people saying that 'why are there points penalties...blah blah blah' I do wonder if there is a crumbling of resolve. The HRMC have changed their stance from wind-up to 'we agree administration is the correct way' (not that wind up is the best solution in my eyes, BSL would suffuce) So i am on the expecting thej to come out of it free of debt and at wembley and avoid relegation until it is proved differently. I recall them minutes from liquidation 10 years ago and then in walked MM, so we have been there before.

Great performance. The crowd on all sides of the ground joined in. Im relishing Wembley and the slow OWTS being sung by 40k saints fans, that will be something to stand the hairs on your nexck on end (no Pompey songs that day I hope) Barnard is the perfect foil for Lambert and has a brilliant football brain as well as RL JP and AL. The first game in a long time where I felt AL was not a luxury player for this league, as he added workrate to his skill. I have defended KD on many occasions but last night I did feel he should have come for a couple of crosses in the first half, apart from that he was again very solid. Lamberts free kick was fantastic and only an unbelieveable save stopped it going in. The Huddersfield fans I have respect for as they travelled a long way on a tuesday night, and so the chant of 'your support is f'in sh##' was a bit out of order. Why a fan is thrown out for wearin a Pompey shirt is a bit of a odd one. I listened to Solent and the read out some texts, I assume somebody was using Alpine Saint as a bit of a laugh. It was something like 'we need to get a foutrth' or something like that lol.

reading and listening to the stuff elsewhere about yesterday and none of it seems to point that Pompey will be toast. It seems this board is the only place where they think that Pompey will get fried. There is a confidence about the administrator that all is well, and afterall he has the facts.I doubt many would come out of the high court looking so confident if they were hiding something. Pompey could go to the high court next time only 2 points away from safety. Would a judge then fold them up knowing that they were only months away from massive tv money? It is a massive decision to put on his shoulders.
