  1. It isn't about the violence but the fun and adrenyline those days brought about. I would not condone football violence, but there was great fun to be had without the aggro. It was different to the more sanitised stuff from now
  2. Superb, big big Lols
  3. Isn'tit amazing that the reistrar the first time gave them 7 days and it took weeks to find some time in court and then the HRMC put in an appeal and they find time tomorrow. Pompey will get away with it again.
  4. On 5live they said that the taxman was fuming especially against Pompey as well as football in general. They dispute Chanrais ownership and so his validity in putting them into administration. They are demanding to see the paperwork. Jacob signed it off didn't he? Is there something about him leaving Fuglers last week, as in they want to have him at arms length.
  5. Pompey will get away with it
  6. that's my boy, yo'll fit right in with our team. They are a bunch of fairies who say very little, except the ones who were taken from us and now added to Granty's team. No chance of them getting a revenge. To be fair 1 of them is struggling with his conscience whether to celebrate if he scores. Dont worry James nobody celebrates own goals.
  7. Have you really no shame. In what morla grounds do you really think you should appeal? No normal business risk it has no control over !!!!!! So trading whilst insolvent lol and these problems were before the said 2 owners had arrived.
  8. One of my friends who works at the club was outside the ground as AP came out and he was signing autographs etc. I think it is a non story.
  9. well my nephew does wedding catering and is very good and very fair (also saints fan), if you need contact details PM me, also a couple of wedding cars Bentley Aston Martin (grooms love it arriving in that )
  10. No as I understand it is a convienient way of losing your debts, closing the business one-day and re-opening a few days later after wiping off the debts and starting again. It is excused by them saying it is to protect jobs. The directors can carry on and not lose their houses etc.it is a cheats charte, I think you will find a few people do it as a living ie many 3 piece suite shops have done it in the past.
  11. I have had a message from the FA that I have passed the FAPPT test. I was told by a lot of his team that Phil talked a load of FAPPT
  12. Barclays Premier league
  13. John Terry's run of form has been so poor that he might not make it onto the plane either. I don't think Capello will put up with players who may unsettle the team. I suspect Capello will be watching how the squad are interacting with him during their get together for the Egypt game.
  14. Keep on talking dirty to me, it does make me feel better
  15. Benjii, you don't need to tell me that Lol. I would love to have your optimism, at least i won't be as disappointed as some, but I will seethe if the companies officers do not get serious penalties.
  16. I thought he added a balance to the side that has been missing. He also seems to me to be an intelligent footballer, who linked well with AL Lambert and Barnard. One swallow doesnt make a summer but a cgood start, let's hope it is the first of many.
  17. I thought that last night when MotD showed a still of the incident, it looked to me Ramsays leg was landing awkwardly before inpact. The picture above seems to show thw leg buckling before Shawcross is there. Either way it was an accident in my book
  18. I did raise a wry smile or was it frustration when a fan in the Northam screamed at Lambert 'Jump you lazy ####'. Yep he doesnt try at all dies he ? Lollage
  19. spot on IMO
  20. Nick H here not MrG, i agreed he wasn't on top of the world but he definitely changed when the interviewer mentioned the poor perfomance at wycombe and that the fans sung his name. he then went into 1 word answers. Rightly so IMO
  21. I saw Dougal walking his dogs in Woodlands a few years back. 'dougal is our leader.' and 'bootsie is our leader' used to be sung, I dont think the 'Sammy Sammy you're a ...' would get off the ground this day and age, and rightly so. He was supposedly the main Spurs man
  22. VFTT, roll back 2 weeks 2 months etc and see how, so many were confident they were toast . They had the close call when the lady gave them a week which turned into 3 weeks and now however long. I have seen them not only survive but been enabled to carry on trading even though it seems they were insolvent. The HMRC owed 18m for only them to put the club into admin with the distinct possibility that the majority of their debts wiped. Chanrai can own the club for no new investment but take on the player assets ,as well as owning the ground. He can see that the debts will all be paid with the parachute monies and the wage bill slashed to manageble levels, even in CCC. As a billionaire he can easily fund a few purchases to take a small gamble to get instant promotion and then again have a PL football club that he can sell on with the new riches of the tv revenues.IMO he is on a no lose situation. If heaven forbid they did get to the FA cup final his investment will become a great profit quickly as those revenue streams would IMO be into the new company. That is of course if he takes them on quickly, and the way it is set-up it looks to me he wil do so. I am happy to come back and say Im wrong and eat humble pie, if he does not buy it and they fold or get massive points penalties.
  23. Oh sorry vi thought you meant Merrington..oops now who played for saints with Mick Channon and moved to Canada? I dont know but no doubt is one of my heroes. Perhaps somebody could PM me who so i dont slag him off in my 'all our yesterday, nostalgia' type threads lol
