  1. It was a long time ago when Gb was manager.
  2. I understand and will not support him in his snipes at you and your mothers fight. You are a proper respected person and like myself and Um have suffered some attacks by him.In time you may come round and understand my viewpoint (not through experiencing the horror of facing up to his illness) and see he really is trying to control something that is uncontrollable.I have noticed it myself, recently he has only attacked when under tremendous provocation and even then it is mild compared to the past. I am not taking sides as i think you are a top man, and i enjoyed reading your stuff (although i dont always agree) and hope to meet your mother when you return regularily to games.
  3. In principle the result is not an issue but perhaps the performance by some is.Last night showed we need so many players. No way was it AP's team or fault but some of those players.....
  4. surely he has passed the FAPP test and so all is OK, or has that now changed? I find it interesting with your experience in your profession that you still have doubts of it proceeding.
  5. That sums up my feelings reading the 2 very strong and good personalities fighting on here. Both of you have had your 'real fights' off this board and at certain times the pressure has made you act in totally irrational ways. Daren was always right mentioning his plight and the terrible treatment of him by the club,he rightly was sore about it. For the person who let it out on here NC's personal problems, SHAME ON YOU. A terrible misjudgement and I hope you may not have a family member befall an illness that is not understood (and even then the logic is beyond understanding)until you face up to it in your own family. I say leave the cheap jibes at NC's illness aside.
  6. if the club is being run on its own devices I dont think his wages would be found.
  7. I dont agree with that on last nights showing. He was skillful and pacey, well compared to what had been on show before
  8. Gordon Watson
  9. I think we should let him go for a nominal fee to get rid of his wages.
  10. Can you read? I put score a load of goals. DMG got stick and he scored quite a few in a very poor side.Paterson is younger and will not score as many, in fact if he plays a lot of games there is no way we will make the play offs. Not because i dont think he wil become a useful player but he will be against a lot of big centre halfs who wont give him an inch.He is not Shearer and so needs to find the extra needed.
  11. well he came on last night and certainly made a big dfference.A bit much to ask him to score a load of goals though.
  12. No I didnt expect us to be superb. I did expect us to be solid and have some imagination,we did play some neat football first half but only in the centre of the pitch. Is it ok for players to look half interested and arrogant to believe that it would be easy? I hold no blame to AP, he has had little time to do anything, but I doubt he will be very happy and will weild a big stick.
  13. The first was from a free kick and the centre forward flicked on the cross, the second from a corner, the 3rd from the defence opened up and a midfield runner took the ball on to score.Theor 4th a cross that the cf headed in again and the 5th a shot from about 15 yards after a bit of a scramble.
  14. Bungle, so people at the game who wish to give a heads up on the performance should gloss over the fract that we were totally outplayed by a more skillful and hungrier outfit.Yes Rasiak didnt play (that would have made not an ounce of difference as Stern worked harder than he would have) KD missing would have stopped 2 of the goals in the first half.He wouldnt have stopped al;l the pressure we were under due to an ineffectual experienced centre midfield. The9 is right a lot of those players are on the fringes, but if asked to put a side out from that squad last night would you expect to let 5 in? Im not pannicking but pointing out that we have a lack of decent players in important areas and AP will Im sure fill those gaps. If you had gone and watched you may well have been as disillusioned as myself. Roll on saturday when we will field our stronger side and perhaps get a better performance.I was concerned about Lloyds lack of form in the last 2 games as he was a shining light last season. Perry although in a defence that let in 5 was powerless as Lancashire was not up to marking their forward who won everything and scored ahattrick.Mills is going to be a fine player, there in the right place again to score
  15. Wotton penalty Paterson Mills Stern
  16. That is fair, but it is the lack of a midfield, with no guile or energy. Pulis played in midfield with Gobern Wotton and Thomson. Gillette was in the stands with Wayne Thomas. Im not pretending we were full strength but Salisbury bossed the game except for 20 minutes in the second half. It cannot be good for morale. Anyway we will improve nad htis can be ofrgotten
  17. Im sure they will. We havent got much time to turn it around, if we dont start well i wont want to try and play catch up with 15 points adrift after 3-4 games
  18. well after tonights turnout they will not be long threads
  19. back from the game and it was pathetic all round.Less than 20 in the away fans section! I dont like knocking the players but Poke is not /will not be a L1 standard keeper, lancashire was out fought and jumped by Salisburys Robbie matthews (scored hattrick) 3 down half time and could have been more.We had no attempts on target first half.Although we did miss 2 sitters both missing the goal.Saga will not score many , Stern looked full of effort and was a plus on the night.Perry Mills Paterson and Stern the only players who can hold their heads up IMO. Wotton tried but poor, Gobern not in it, Thomson at his level, even Lloyd was not up to it tonight. Henderson on the touchline first half AP out with him in the second where we started to look more up for it, especially when Paterson came on for the ineffectual Saga. All of a sudden hustle and bustle helping Stern.A fortunate pen, by Wotton pulled 1 back, then Paterson before another high ball gave salisbury another 2 goal lead. Mills and Stern then brought us back to 4 all before Rob Sinclair netted the winner. We didnt look like scoring another. Forecast did ok second half but the defence is appalling. The acadamy players came on for the last few minutes so dont have any illusions that we were mainly a youth side on the night. It was comical, and salisbury deserved their win. I saw us play here last season under Jan and we looked a lot better then with a lot of kids, a long hard scary ride if things dont improve for us Im afraid.
  20. oh dear
  21. this isnt Facebook Mike. Your status is you are f#####g off on holiday i assume. Thanks a bunch, have a nice day.
  22. so who is the UAE player you are going to sign?
  23. I noticed on a thread we were supposed to have made a tenner bet that Blackpool would finish above us.I do not remember the bet but will honour it.Instead of the NSPCC I gave 10 to Naomi House , as they lost a lot of money to the Iclandic banks.I hope that is Ok?
  24. I agree and Mr Lebherr has the luxury of the fans not questioning his decisions. Not that RL or ML has any similarity in investing etc but if RL had done this move there would be outrage. I myself am very happy, I have put in much time into the club but never received a complimentary of any kind in 40 years of support.I should thin that ex players should feel the privilage they had of being a hero and still gert adulation, to then expect the fans to subsidise them still is not on.As for the directors who ALL have played their part in ruining the club without exception, they deserve nothing IMO
  25. I did wonder why it said he was new chairman, it didnt say he was new owner.A bit odd compared to other takeovers and wording of such.Timedelaying factor perhaps to keep bank at bay as they try to source money?
