  1. Interesting assessment. I cant see the bank writing off 30m when the club have many assets that could be sold first. There again who knows what banks will do ever|?
  2. Now that is something I suggested he was stalling for a few weeks back.He knew he had gaydamek by the short and curlies and has played a waiting game.he now can put into the squad the money he has saved on the deal.Smart move and Pompey will buy to strengthen to stay up. Sadly they only have to stay up 1 season to then get stronger agin
  3. NC you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that.YOu are touching a nerve and so as you expect will get lots of abuse. I feel sad that you have this attitude toward MLT. You must have missed out on the buzz when he had the ball, that you didnt quite know what bit of magic may be conjured up next.Im not the easiest person to be won over but MLT did it and i still adore his playing skills. Yes he had faults, yes he didnt work or chase but what he did the times he had the ball was worth every penny i ever spent going to watch him. Sir Alex said that if he hadn't had Cantona he would have bought MLT and that a player who scored so many goals in a poor side was exceptional. By his nature money is not the afrodisiac, it is happiness and many may not understnd that, I do.I will never forgive graham Taylor and LM regime when in charge of England in playing Geoff Thomas and Carlton palmer instead of Matt and still smile at the dross that was served up under them in the name of English football. MLT did himself a disservice by staying loyal to us, we were as football fans deprived of what he really could have done had been in a team of winners with ability at one of the top clubs. MLT is still a footballing god in my eyes and he is appreciated by fans of football worldwide. As for his attempts to be chairman etc then perhaps you have a point but please leave off the criicism of the player.
  4. interesting, and I wonder if it has made a mockery of the FAPPT. Shows Storrie up as he was buying it and heading a consortium just a few days ago. What a bunch they have at that club.
  5. time will tell if it is a Lol. Gaydamek must have taken a big fall on his money and so taken a hit just to get rid of them
  6. What Dr? Michael Jacksons
  7. we're only linked by Darwins theory of evolution. Our part of hampshire luckily went down the route of standing up straight and having toes not webbed feet. Our idea of a picnic is going and eating a nice lunch and the spread not being our daughter.Somewhere, you PES got abducted and sent down the slippery slope of Skatedoom.
  8. Dont you read Ho's posts? He is away for 3 weeks, he has gone to LA as he has been told there is a doctor there that will administor drugs that will let you sleep. He desperately needs some so he doesnt have to sit through this season.he hopes to wake up at the end of the seaosn after they have qualified for the CL again.HR is the manager and Gerrard and Rooney have handed in transfer requests so they can go to their state of the art stadium that must be finished by then as it 'was certainly going ahead' 3 or more years ago.
  9. but it is a clever move as really they should pay more, don't you think?
  10. I was not surprised at their turnout tonight. It is consistant with their fanbase, in fact a high percentage of that did turn out. They only get good crowds when the big clubs are in town. They need a load of neutrals turn upo to fill the stadium.
  11. we were rubbish, well thats how it sounded on the commentary on the radio
  12. it could be said the same about too many champagne socialists as well. I want the best for my family and friends. Any sane person puts the interests of their closest family etc first and then thinks about society next. Anyway what was the trouble all about saturday, it seems as time goes by we are having more of this kind of thread after games
  13. the Tories as we'd get our men to come round and do it
  14. they will snap Villas hands off. He is not a player to help when the chips are down.
  15. It's funny I would never say the same about a red. Just shows how small minded they are. The biggest murderer of the 20th century was stalin perhaps we can see why
  16. a couple of dozen posts too late for that 1, you need to sharpen up
  17. I had to crimp and save to buy my ticket tonight
  18. Lol now I know you are on a wind up.
  19. I still think the irony of moving away to a country that was until recently ruled by a fascist dictator quite amusing.of course it was to learn the culture and language nothing to do with the sun and a better life than a normal working person could have. One for all all for......myself lol
  20. hair raising stuff
  21. with DMG BWP Surman Rasiak and leaving is it a case of a side parting?
  22. You are spouting how bad the tories are(im not impressed with them myself at present)but have cleared off to leave others to clear up the mess that your socialist friends have put us in.It was only afew days after 'that great day in 1997' that Blair and co took the regulation away from the bank of England to regulate the financial system. That in turn left them to do wahtever they liked to overlend and take risks that we all are paying for here now. The bankers are still leftscott free after all this and the goverment who also have spent on the back of those revenues that have now blown up in our faces. The bankers and government were hand in hand together in this, not a Tory government but a labour government who allowed this to happen. We are now printing money, yes it has got us of a hole shortterm but within 3 years you will see rising inflation and then the pain will really set in IMO. Just wait until December when the VAT is increased up to 19% ( I think that is when it is due to go back up and beyond the old figure) see the businesses and population hurting then. This government inherited a golden economy and Mr Teflon Blair could not believe his luck , but as in all these things if you spend you have to pay back.Sadly the prudent will feel the pain as much as the fools who spent and got us in this state.
  23. Remember when David Platt was linked to the club?
  24. ive met loads from this site and all have been fine.Ok 20 or more were during the forum match , but they were sound the lot of them.As for FF, do you think you are being a bit too sensitive? You know your words are read because you haqve access to many people most dont, so why need the reassurance on here of fans aksing you to keep posting.I will always read your stuff and im sure the majority do as well, your thread about the Pompey deal is stil going strong on the Lounge, so top marks
