  1. Did it quote that DMG was assigned to McKenzie or the marking in general? At the time of the goal it looked offside, but he timed his move perfectly and I agree he was onside. I doubt many would be able to stop such a run akthough DMG could have obstructed him in some way. Having said that whoever lets a player go in a set piece is making a mistake.
  2. Greenridge, that is offensive. Perhaps intentional I dont know. As my viewpoints are not the same as yours what makes you have the arrogance to say Iam wrong. I left school at 16 and have since that day made my living by my own actions.I never in that time relied on anyone in this world to put clothes on my or my famillies back and have a good lifestyle that many would be envious of.Because of that I have made decisions and weighed up opportunities that were sometimes brave and stupid to others but i did it my way.Perhaps that experience gives me a different perspective than others, I dont know but my objectivity and judgement should not be disrespected just because you have your own blinkered views how a football club should be run..
  3. I didnt watch the half time bit and so didnt know he was picking up McKenzie. This is a surprise to me as I would have thought as DMG is one of our taller players he would have marked one of their centre backs. It still is harsh as whoever marked McKenzie as he moved in front of our defence in the blink of an eye and it would be nye impossible to react.
  4. Snowballs. I can understand where you come from and it surprises me sometimes how upbeat I can be about something that is so dire in my life. I can categorically tell you I have never met or had any contact from RL except when I wrote and told him it was crucial to get the choice of manager right in the close season when we moved stadia.I got a courteous reply, form a computer generated letter. If you were bored enough to trawl through my posts you would see many critical posts against the clubs board, some against RL and many more against the people who hoodwinked many and took the club over before RL's return. I dont know how many times I have to post it 'Nickh would love someone to take over the club who was credible. I dont wish for change for change sake but wish for someone to take over put money in and make us stable again. At present of the very few options we have RL is the best IMO.' Get a plausible option in and I will jump ship immediately
  5. Thankyou for clarifting that .
  6. You are saying that DMG was assigned to mark McKenzie am I right? MLT he isnt I agree with you, I mentioned MLT only as he was an example of fans saying he was lazy etc when he turned out not only to be a great footballer but also passionate and cared about the club. When DMG scored the pen against Norwich you could see the joy of doing so, and when the final whistle had gone he was down with the players showing his pleasure of our victory.
  7. I suspect that the club read some of the nonsense on here and see the rumours and laugh at a lot of it. I would not expect Weston to break peoples trust, but he also does not wish to put his name to such claims that have been made on his behalf. Unless DMG his agent or RL come out and state it how else would fans like you take a denial? Even if they did some would say 'well they would say that wouldn't they.' Wheras a fan can come on try and reinforce an unfounded rumour and then it becomes fact. Again do you really believe that a 19year old would be guarenteed a starting place for this season however they played? If so I'm surprised at the naiviety of that.
  8. and MLT busted a gut.You would not believe the debates I had with fellow fans when he first came into the team about his laziness and attitude. DMG wants us to win as much as any other player on the pitch.
  9. but he was never going to forgive. An egotist does not get revenge like you are portraying. You are gilding the Lily to suit your arguement.
  10. Well if he would never forgive he would never join forces and even attend meetings with him.It is just another wild statement to try and sway opinion.
  11. Derry I think the way you put it is not quite the way Weston would be , I have PM'd him to ask him to clarify the point.i get the impression he does not wish to be drawn in and state it as you have. It is a FALSE rumour and needs to be squashed before too many actually beleive it.
  12. some high and mighty remarks that actually contradict. 'Lowe has never, or will never, forgive and forget the fact that he WAS ousted from his lofty Throne' 'He came back, thanks to Judas Wilde
  13. The shares are still overvalued and so I'd like to see them fall a little more.
  14. Derry I think you should PM Weston as I have done and then clarify those quotes. You are making mischief and its not right.
  15. I think that is valid, but also with the squad we have now would have NP and I for 1 still say that he took us into the relegation spot in the first place when he arrived we were miles clear.I still was happy to give him a chance though.
  16. I dont have to answer to anyone in my life except the vat and tax man,.... oh and my wife. So perhaps with that freedom I can make up my own mind. I dont need to be told to jump off a cliff unless I want to. No doubt you are feeling confident this week as you are on the back of a defeat and the dissenters are out in force. Do you think that because you are in the majority I will say nothing. You may be part of a flock but i use my own brain to make my own opinions and judgements. A top stockbroker who was a major shareholder in Saints a few years ago (sadly he died recently) who was very respected in the city had a motto it went on the lines of 'always question the perceived wisdom' He became a multi milionaire and had the responsility of 100'm pounds worth of investments if not billions. He was known also for telling people in the City that the market was from too overvalued and was pilloried for that. So just because you have many in your crusade it doesnt mean you are the font of all knowledge. Now where is that plan you told us about?
  17. no but long term if he gets us stable he might.I should have put protect his investment or value in the club
  18. It doesnt matter whether you worry about my judgement or not.He was deemed to be good enough by the people who matter, he was also seen from people outside the club ie neutrals and press etc to be doing well with the politics and all happening at the club(I dont necessarily adhere to that, or whether he is international material) but that is the case. I look at other clubs and think 'why are they worrying' as xyz is doing well or the squad is good, wheras the fans are on the managers back. You only have to look at the Norwich forum to see that (I dont like Roeder but they are not that bad) You judge RL as an Egotist, well I can see where you are coming from but he has come back and kept out of the limelight, hardly a man concerned with ego.I would say more singleminded myself and wanting to do it his way and take the blame if it goes wrong, not stray away from his own views to appease and then get blamed if it fails.
  19. As you are an anti, I totally understand where your post comes from. Put it this way and only in the simplest form, what would a forward be worth to us who could guarentee 15 points this season?
  20. All correct and I respect your judgement, but cant always agree of course. I can only assume Powell was given another contract as we were unable to get a decent defender in, the management at thev time would have their own ideas on how they liked them and whilst I suspect I know the type of defender NP would bring in ( Id agree with the old fashioned English type) I expect Jan likes a cultured footballer. That may not work but it is still too soon to say he is wrong. With youngsters you never know which team will turn up but after being Saints fans why are we surprised?
  21. That is your opinion.RL is a pragmatist IMO, bit also looking to make a profit. That doesnt worry me as that is life, find us an investor to waste 10m and Im right with you. As for GB he is an international manager now and so what you were right about I dont know.
  22. I think that is valid, I said some time ago was sick of our defenders players playing the gentlemen excuse me.It started with Claus after killer went and has never been rectified. We as fans like to see good football and so it is a difficult thing to balance. No nonsense defenders are a must but the club must know this and for some reason have failed to sign them.
  23. Against Norwich it did wonders and broke up lots of their attacks. It worked at Cov but the linesman missed it on the first goal. The 2nd goal looked offside but then seemed fair on replay.
  24. One thing for sure is that it did make a difference and so was right at that time.Had we been 3 up we would not have changed much if anything of course. A manager tries to make a difference and he did so at that time (Iam undecided whether Jan is the man for us, but will praise if he does things well)
