Do you honestly believe that City are in the business of spending another 20-30 mil on a 2nd choice left back? Do you also think Bertrand is happy to be second choice damaging his England chances? There's no way City are in for Bertrand now after signing Mendy who is an excellent full back.

That would only damage us in the long run. We've set ourselves up as a club for good young players to come to and develop before leaving for a bigger club. If we start letting wantaways rot in the reserves, then these talented players will no longer see us as a step to bigger things and won't want to join us. Instead we'll end up like Sunderland, signing 30+ year old has beens on big wages.

City have confirmed the signing of Mendy, so any interest they had in Bertrand has now ended. City are going to be a different animal next season.

Problem is, in league one there was togetherness yes, but we were getting these players because we could outspend and offer more in wages than any other club in the league. We are at our level now. We'll never be able to outspend the top clubs in the top divisions, so the league one days whilst nice, were never going to last.

Our fans are such ****ing dinlo's. This lad has some really good potential and a loan move for him with an option to buy would be brilliant business. He's quick and tricky, just needs to get some composure in front of goal. I'd much rather him come off the bench for Gabbi/Austin than any of Long/Rodriguez.
