Just taking this a step further, if AP is proved not to be the right man and we get someone else in who does have the qualities required, then the chances are he won't be here for the long term as he will be recruited by a bigger club. Like players, managers are ambitious and want to manage the biggest clubs at the highest level. If AP proves to be a success at Saints, I suspect there will only be so far he can take us, depending on the finances made available to him, and may decide to move on anyway. All IMHO, of course. I can think of nothing better then AP taking us all the way and being with us until the year dot.

I'd say the way AP celebrated the goals was far more telling.

I think the PL know exactly what they're doing here. They have to be seen to be helping out. Of course they do. AA's confidence that they will immediately attract bids and, therefore, vital cashflow is, IMHO, widly misplaced. That's right AA, of course they will. You've obviously got intimate knowledge of every PL boardroom and manager's office. Surely they must be queueing up to give you hard cash (precious cash, in the current climate) only to sit back and watch an already doomed club reap the benefits for the rest of the season. In fact, thinking this through, I can think of only one club who would consider such a preposterous idea. They play in blue. They play football in a s h i t h o l e. They are already relegated. This thread had been very informative, thanks to research, speculation and (yes ho, believe it or not), some actual knowledge of the legal processes that the fishy few now face. Sure, some of it has been wide of the mark, but you expect that given the relatively little information that is in the public domain. And yet, despite this evidence, Ho comes on here and spouts such inane b u l l s h i t, it just beggars belief. Having been shouted down as many times as Ho has, most self respecting skateswould have disappeared long ago, but this one just keeps coming back for more. It's like some weird, perverted lust for humiliation. I've spoken with several skates about the situation they now find themselves in and, by and large, they don't understand what's going on (neither did I for a long time), but they've accepted it with good grace. So why can't Ho just do the same? Damn, that's 5 minutes of my life that I won't get back.

Can't really argue with that. While I'm sure that a lot of people have researched the whole legal process very thoroughly indeed, the amount of unknowns means that there is a lot of hope rather than certainty in terms of the fate of the fishy few.
