Not sure this is SR’s fault tbh. Convinced the bloke to drop down for a much more important and involved role, with the expectation of it being a long term project. He’s jumped to be with his old mate from City, with a lesser responsibility. The food chain we’re in unfortunately. Even moneybags Newcastle can’t keep their staff. I’d rather they push the boat out for good people, then settle for mediocrity and appoint people who no-one would be interested in poaching.

On the basis we’re definitely finishing 4th, plus we’re definitely going to lose to a team in better form in the playoffs, what’s the harm in sticking him in now?
-
We’ve averaged 2 points a game since then and have gone down a place. Crazy
-
It’s not a coincidence that our form has tailed off since this came out.

Aribo to channel his inner Chris Marsden Football Genius to cap off a 3-1 win.

It is with our current defensive form

Would be about time

You mean one?

You must have a pretty crap memory then.

Grow a set of testicles FFS.

Why do people keep thinking Juve are going to pick him up for a minimal fee?
-
Not sure it’s that baffling. 1) he got to join a club challenging for the title and play in Europe 2) did you see our financial results last week? We needed the money and got a good fee.

A lot of EFL publications / podcasts were tipping Ipswich to be challenging this season, so their form isn’t a total surprise.

Well done for picking a post where you caveated your praise around how superior our squad is.
-
“Some of the football has been very good, due to the superior players compared to most of the dross in the division.”
-
So playing poorly and dropping points is 100% on the manager, but when we play well that’s nothing to do with him and all because of our “superior players”? Gotcha.

Saint Charlie put this is in the Sunderland thread. Shows how mental this season is.

Jesus.

He’ll never win with some, because some made their mind up on him when he arrived.
-
Or opposition fans view us more objectively than our own fans do.

If you’re suggesting he should have saved either goal today then there’s no helping you.
-
Only lost one league game this season that he’s started in - Millwall.
-
It’s all well and good having pace and tricks, but if you don’t have a football brain it doesn’t really matter.

This place never fails to deliver, tremendous.
