  1. Is it close? All I’ve seen is questionable link from Givemesport?
  2. Yeah, £60k a week gets you fck all these days.
  3. Tend to agree, seems to have a confident aura from the videos. Am sure the positivity will disappear once Goztepe dick us next week.
  4. Hope not, they’re a decent poster on here.
  5. I think the opening line “There seems to be a a lot of Southampton fans on social media platforms” was where I stopped taking the post seriously.
  6. Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez - think he’s 15, so would be next year?
  7. Course he wouldn’t, would be abject failure.
  8. There is a fine line, but someone offering £30m for Lavia when we want £50m, or £15m for Tino when we want £30m after Chelsea payaway isn’t fine lines - they are rather large differences and unless they make serious offers then I’m all for the club standing ground.
  9. Not sure time on the ball does Che much good. He seems better when he has no time to think about it.
  10. So far so good, they seem to be sticking to their guns. Suspect we’ll end up with a £40m plus add ons situation. Would rather sell to Arsenal!
  11. £30m 😂
  12. Yeah on second viewing, not as mental as first thought. The person I saw post it was making the point their team (Huds) ended up finishing above QPR. Though Forest year before were shite then Cooper got them into playoffs. If you want to go up automatically don’t be shit at all, playoffs may still have a chance.
  13. Saw this earlier - this league is madness and why first 15 games don’t necessarily mean much.
  14. What a rollercoaster of a read.
  15. Oh well, plenty of other players out there that can do a job in the championship I’m sure.
  16. According to the ever reliable internet, their highest paid player is Leno on £90k. Mitrovic £80k. Palhinha £50k. He’d be their highest paid player by some distance if he got more than he was on here. I can’t see it
  17. Rice to JWP is a chunky downgrade. And that’s no offence to JWP, Rice is just levels above. I don’t see JWP as a first choice replacement for Rice, I can only see him going there if they don’t get one of their priority targets (like Alvarez) and end up down the list. Outside of that, Fulham seems the only other realistic shout. Can’t see them stumping up the cash for him. Brighton maybe, but doesn’t fit their transfer model at all (they could sign some unknown for pittance and they’ll slot in seamlessly). As for wages, he was on £100k p/w, if the wage drop is correct then he’s on around £60k p/w. Will a Fulham be spending £100k p/w on wages for JWP? Not sure. Will be down to how much he wants to play Prem football.
  18. Nice interview - I enjoyed the bit where he insinuated some players think they’re premier league standard but might be in for a rude awakening when no-one signs them (obviously from his previous playing days).
  19. Hopefully, I was mortified when I couldn’t see Bednarek in the snaps.
  20. 1 year left, was never going to be £60m. I guess this is where we have slightly better bargaining power on most of ours (except Salisu and Adams).
  21. It surely cannot be for £12-15m. That makes no sense at all. All the stories are seemingly coming from Newcastle side - not only are they a bunch of sport washing pr*cks, they are now working in the Levy school of media negotiations. I naively thought Livramento was going be who’d stay and would be ok to do that in view of the support we’ve given him, but of course he’ll go if there’s a Prem move on the cards. £12-15m is an insult though.
  22. Got to laugh
  23. 1) bit disappointed our number doesn’t start with a 2 after his season last year 2) if £18m is the number I’m surprised Burnley haven’t jumped on it, what number were they expecting?
