Time to move on.
-
Bore off Toffee. I know you’re not used to it, but sometimes in life you have to pay for things.
-
Pretty short stint as ITK for the chap.
-
This guy is either; a) making it up as he goes along b) getting briefed by Krasnador c) getting briefed by Spertsyan’s team if its any of the latter two then I’d tell them they have tonight to decide or we’re done This has always felt unlikely since the alleged initial rejection. I still find it weird he would still be playing matches for Krasnodar if he was that keen/close to joining us.
-
THB doing himself no favours if he really does want to leave. Appreciate he’s been out a while, but looked poor today and coupled with last season can’t see anyone forking out big bucks for him
-
Wouldn’t bother mate, all he’s got is either pushing a negative narrative or a laugh emoji.
-
You genuinely think it’s “a big if” we’ll buy anyone if we sell Fernandes and/or Dibling? Think you’re being a bit silly.
-
Suspect Still would love to get rid of at least two or Arma, BBD and Archer and bring in another option.
-
Respect the point, hope that next week we’re a step closer to our final squad.
-
We’ve shifted plenty of the deadwood in recent times (Sulemana and Onuachu this window alone) - the problem is we’ve just bought more and more dross that has become new deadwood.
-
I haven’t really looked or thought about it too much until now, but there are a lot of departures needed still, even without brining anyone else in. Assuming we can somehow permanently shift the following:- Taylor, Bella Kotchap, Edozie, Aribo And the following go out on loan:- Sesay, Kayi Sanda, Matsuki And we bring in another GK (which is a given) We still have a squad of 24 players. Realistically we probably need to shift another 4-5. Even if Dibling and/or Fernandes go there’s still more that need to leave. We’ve got 5 CB’s (taking out Kayi Sanda), one too many? THB most sellable but could we sell Wood or Edwards instead. Linked with a few RB’s but surely Bree or Sugawara need to leave first. Downs, Stewart, BBD, Armstrong and Archer seems too heavy too. We’d all love to see BBD leave, but are we more likely to see interest in Archer?
-
Surprised he didn’t get out of the wheelchair and walk out.
-
Makes sense when the Sporting Director and Chief Scout have come from there.
-
Of course, though it would be a very expensive outgoing for him on his alleged £5k pw contract… perhaps he should sign a new one to help pay for it 😉
-
The clubs buy insurance to protect their asset (or loss of). Any payout goes to the club, not the player (though some clubs might choose to give some to the player).
-
Hmmm
-
Not doubting you… but he doesn’t sound like someone who is about to imminently leave, plus he played tonight by sounds of it?
-
I’ve got a hunch that Isak isn’t happy to stay at Newcastle. Nothing confirmed on that though.

CM 03/04, that was my favourite too. Tim Sparv scored an ET free kick to win the champions league for me. -
At risk of being even more anal, it was at St Marys
-
Think we’ve had plenty (including some still here) that can’t do the basics well as a striker. Let’s hope it starts to flow for him when the first goes in.
-
Of course, that too. But don’t feel like we have a proper DM.
-
The issue with his two misses seem to be he hasn’t timed his run properly, been ahead of the ball on both occasions (plus a bit of a push). Gone too early.
-
Not sure we need another box to box midfielder at the moment tbh. Still think we’re missing a proper defensive midfielder.
-
He’s been taken out of the first team training because the expectation was the Everton deal was going to happen. As it happens, that’s not looking likely at the moment, hence why they’re talking about reintegrating. He’s been offered a very good contact. If someone doesn’t want to sign it you can’t force them to.
