I’m not saying I don’t think we need one, just saying there’s no way we’re signing another centre forward this window with current numbers we have. We have Stewart, Downs, Armstrong, BBD and Archer. It would take two, maybe three of those to leave for us to bring in another.

Way too early to say, probably not going to know how good or bad a job he’s doing until next year. Staff appointments seem in general to have been decent - I like Will Still, u21’s guy is highly rated and so is the chief scout. Playing side it’s too early to tell. Quarshie is very raw but could be ok, Downs hasn’t played 90mins yet. Stephen’s new contract (or the length of) is weird. Suspect they would have expected a few more to have left by now, which would have freed us up. Has been a frustrating window so far no doubt.
