The lad is an extremely talented footballer. If he has an average / poor year it’s not going to put people off, as they will see extenuating circumstances as to why he had a poor season. In fact, I’d say it would likely mean more teams are interested, as his value will have dropped significantly with his contract situation, so teams like Fulham/Palace/Brentford etc will be more likely to have a go at £15/20m as opposed to £50m

I agree, but the problem is he already looks like our best attacking midfield option (when the obvious leave).

This feels like the Lavia transfer two years ago. Liverpool started low then kept coming back in £3-5m increments and we kept rejecting them, then Chelsea seemed to come out of nowhere offering £56m and we accepted. Liverpool then tried to match but he chose Chelsea.

I don’t want Bazunu as number one next season as much as the next person, but questioning him on the goals yesterday is just utter nonsense.

Think that’s a fair list, although I would personally have a new number one GK up the list a bit. Albeit I don’t think the club will bother and think Bazunu will be number 1, which is a huge mistake.
