Martin was Wilcox’s choice. His first choice was Maresca, when that didn’t happen he went after Martin instead. Wilcox was given control of football operations, he’d need SR sign off on things but he was in charge. Rasmus wasn’t involved last summer, he was with Goztepe. I know it must be hard for you, when every other one of your posts is anti-Ankerson, but believe it or not he’s not to blame for everything.

I think it’s pretty obvious really. He’ll understand that we need to be ultra aggressive defensively against such a tough opponent. Therefore he will name 7 defenders on the bench to demonstrate this, whilst naming only 1 in the starting XI.

He’s been a bellend the last two summers and was one of the players with a shite attitude the year we went down. Hasn’t been interested in getting involved until his move never materialised and he realised he’s stuck in limbo. Suspect he will get his chance again when Martin gets sacked.

There’s not a chance in hell that Potter comes here. He’ll hang on until a mid table side gets an itchy trigger finger. I’d go for Moyes, though suspect he wouldn’t fancy it much either. That’s why we’ll end up with a Eustace or similar.
