I see we're not penny pinching in the Headline Pun Dept

The most shocking saints gift you've been given?
westofshannonsaint replied to Pilchards's topic in The Saints
A Scarf (obviously picked up off a stall) that read SOUTHHAMPTON. also a hoody that shrunk to nothing in the first wash. -
Is this a real Le Tissier signature?
westofshannonsaint replied to deadpanmatt's topic in The Saints
just clothes & crap that weren't as good as I hoped they would be, still got them cheap, but would be better off if I didn't bother. your right of course MLT should have played more for england & you would be daft to separate the signature, but I don't support England... -

well done, another example of other people getting bargains on Ebay (its cool even if not genuine, especially for £3*). I only ever get ripped off *actually I would have to take it out of the package & paint on red stripes & cover the england badge before I could ever put it on display, just like my cup final flag folded in such a way that I have the Saints crest on display, but you cant see the Georges cross behind it. -
Poll: Happy with our signings this season?
westofshannonsaint replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Quoted because it is true. A great job done by Saints in the short time since taking the reigns. Just so we can get this clear, and we all know, how long can "The Gelling Period" excuse be used if we are not preforming? perhaps we could have a countdown timer? -
cheers, I'm still wiping the sleep out of my eyes...

just said on SSN that work permit appeals needed to be submitted by yesterday afternoon. is this the same in the lower leagues?

Vote for MLT as the greatest ever Premier League striker
westofshannonsaint replied to waggy's topic in The Saints
lol 11% ahead of henry. -
when are we allowed to mention the dreaded "R" word and admit that we might struggle this year, if we are still - points at the end of September? if we are still in the bottom 3 at Christmas? I like Pardew, think he is the right man for the job and is at least saying the right things, but I did expect more than 2 points from the first 3 games.

Should we change the stand names at St. Marys
westofshannonsaint replied to dickyhale's topic in The Saints
Sir, I think this is a good idea. -
um pahars, why when the thread was starting to get back on topic did you bring up the 19c subject again? cant people just ignore the troll? (although I sometimes find his post's quite funny) post's like... ...are not that constructive and do nothing other than prompt 19c (or whoever) to respond. can people please follow pancake's advice... Mod's can we have another section called handbags at dawn or something to sort out these petty squables? ...anyway... I do admit to chuckling when i think of Pompey's current position, I would not like to see P*mpey fold, although it will be interesting to see how the PL deal with a club going into admin (as apposed to the FL) but no more than Saints - Admin might be the best thing for ye. ye survive, albeit in the CCC, but debt free.

I've never seen the paper on sale in Ireland unfortunately and I don't think it would massively effect sales of the paper if their site was updated during the week.
-
it is a pity that their website isn't better http://www.theleaguepaper.com/

unfortunately there are quite a few posters on here with irrational brains (and small ones at that) edit- and most of them are very very vocal
-
what did this contribute to the board? Why are some posters intent on winding up 19c (even if he is a troll) I foresee this thread degenerating into jibes about medical conditions & being locked & then you will probably blame 19c. and back on topic, I think fans that gave charitable donations do have a right to know where they went, at the very least have the right to ask.

Only 12 points from the top with 45 games to go
westofshannonsaint replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
the thing is that even if we beat H.Pool we will still be 12 points away from a play-off spot, at the minute the immediate aim has to be to cancel out the -10(9), get out of the bottom 3 and then, fingers crossed be in the chasing pack around christmas. is the current squad good enough to be mid-table by christmas? -
Here is my team, what does everyone think? Sorensen O'Shea - Cole A - Carragher - Terry © Mascherano* - Kuyt - Lampard - Carrick Sinclair** - Beattie __________ Kirkland - Foley - Jerome - Larsson*** £5m in the bank. Opinions Please. *Should I go for Lucas? **Will Sinclair start? ***is my subs bench too weak?

Just what I thought, how many times have we fallen victim to opposition two leagues below us? I am starting to believe in Karma...

No signing for 24 hours now....
westofshannonsaint replied to revolution saint's topic in The Saints
OMG.... that is nowhere near enough time to build our squad to L1 standard... Were 9 points away from safety FFS and ALREADY 12 points away from promotion. Very true, it's just like on Grand Designs when the German Builders get held up, I too am surprised that our new owner did not go for an efficient manager (sorry, Head Coach) with experience in the lower (European) leagues. -
I would be very surprised if a successful business person would use "artistic licence" when talking about cold hard cash. I am also supprised that any can consider that owing a bank £30 million (even if it is offset against the stadium) is not a debt - the money was borrowed and should be considered a debt until paid off or written off.

& according to a Millwall forum they still have 3000 left. http://www.independentmillwall.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=92446
