Conflicts of interest

Football League Board is made up of the following: -

Anthony Kleanthous

Lord Mawhinney

Ian Ritchie

David Sheepshanks

Neil Doncaster is the former Chief Executive of Norwich City Football Club. Must still have them at heart

Peter Powell is a Director of Colchester United

Lorraine Rogers is a Director of Tranmere Rovers.

Should they be allowed to decide our future when their clubs would like us starting 10 points below them?

It may not be morally correct, but please people try to understand the FL is a Members Club, and they can organise themselves however they see fit. It is not controlled by any legalities (unless their rules require members to act illegally). It is no different to when we were in the Premier League and Lowe was on the Board, or for that matter Wiseman previously.

You cannot behind a 'members club' and constant rule changes to avoid liabilities that may occur in the event of SFC going bust because you refuse to issue a licence. The Administrator and creditors would surely sue to recover the 'losses' through a proven bid failing for that reason. I have flagged with the FL when does personal liability for these jokers kick in if it is found they acted contrary to their own rules or precedents and therefore without legal foundation.

Mawinney is all wind anyway - he will run for cover when the headlines ' Football League busts SFC' appear. I really do not know why failed and poor quality politicians are allowed to take these potentially very important positions

You completely miss the point. You can sue to your hearts and wallets content. You will never win. As a Members Club they are a law unto themselves, precedents have been set several times when this has been attempted, the Law always finds in favour of the sporting body (members club). Always.

I agree with you about Mawhinney, but its not about him, he has already made a fool of himself, but that won't change anything. I would like to see his expenses claims, sadly as he stood down as an MP in 2005 they are not published, redacted or otherwise.

Wouldn't it be funny if he got emails at the Lords complaining about the Football League?? ;-)
