My old man and I always try and make this game - interested to see what happens this time round given:

1.) Many of the players will have gone.

2.) We'll have no manager

3.) We'll have no coaches.

Do you reckon they'd let me coach for the game? :)

This is a time for all Saints fans to pull together like they have never pulled together before. Over the years we've been asked to pull together for various relegation battles BUT this is the BIGGEST BATTLE OF THEM ALL folks!!! We are on life support and we are struggling for breath!!! The pre season matches could honestly be the last games you see Saints play, especially as the FL are refusing to grant any new owners with a license unless they waive their rights of appeal.........think about it!........its a very bloody scarey thought!

Just a thought......................if we have no licence then strictly speaking any officials worth their salt shouldnt be officiating. Any games where FA registered officials are used have to be sanctioned. Will this game be? I think possibly not depending on what happens for the rest of this week

We don't have a licence to play in the football league, but can play pre-season friendlies.

I just can't see it going ahead with a depleted squad, few coaches and no manager.

Yes it is a friendly but it still has to be sanctioned. This is an insurance issue and not necessarily a footballing one.

the short answer as i have been told by a club official is no.

No license means the game cant go ahead, but this was the understanding on sunday and as we know things do change and he may still have been waiting for conformation. he hasnt asked me and my partner if we want our box seat reserved as normal yet if thats any indication :)
