All this hysteria about Tony Adams being manager....

IT. WILL. NOT. BE. HIM.

The new owner is put a large wodge into buying the club, and will put another wodge in sorting the mess out. Does he really want to throw it away ?

Why in fecks name would he appoint a failed manager from our worst enemies, friendship link to his family or not ???

This new owner can afford to pursue the right manager for the team and club, not the right manager for the bank balance.

Give the new owner and off-field management a bit of credit, FFS.

He means that Lowe is the man who has delivered constantly crap managers or lost the best ones. But, Saint Markus may not.

I agree we had crap managers but we had successful ones as well unless you forget the cup final, Europe, highest finish in the premeir league. alpine mentioned Lowe in the thread title then goes on about Tony Adams not being the manager (and I agree I don't want him anywhere near our club) but what has this got to do with Lowe? God forbid if Adams was appointed what would you or alpine say next?

Seems Saints fans have to find someone to hate and blame.

Pot, Kettle black once more....and someone said a new Alpine?

You spend 95% of your time here hating and blaming people...the thread title says it all.

You didn't want Lowe or Burley here, some people don't want Adams here.

Please tell me what the difference is?

And how do you know it will not be Adams? Also how do you know that the club will not be run pragmatically and within a fixed budget?

Already you seem to think that this guy is going to throw money at the club. What will you do Alpine if he doesn't and runs a tight ship? Start another hate campaign?

I have a little more time for you than Soggy, so I will offer a response.

I stated, several times on here over the past 3 years, that we had not reached the bottom yet. Now we have, and are well past it now i think.

I also said there would be no peace and no recovery whilst we were a plc and Lowe was still a siginificant shareholder. Both are now no longer the case.

Dont you get it ?

Dont you see the difference ?

My opinion is entitrely consitent, and my optimism is genuine.

Deal with it or dont, couldnt care less, but I thought I'd make the effort to point it out.

Carry on sniping now if you wish.

It's not the sniping alpine it's the constant barrage of negativity from you over the years. I agree we were going nowhere as a PLC but when the Wilde bunch came in (and I backed them) nothing changed and then Lowe and his cronies came back and nothing changed apart from the fact we were in further debt. If (god forbid) the new ownership appoint Adams will you still feel the same about them? Leave Lowe in the past as he doesn't need to be mentioned and this thread has proved nothing about your heading. Let's move forward and think positive and thank the new owners we have this liberty.

I have grave reservations about the appointment of Adams BUT :

1. I genuinely dont think it will happen

2. IF it does, then I have so much faith in the new set-up and knowing the sort of person the new owner is, that I will reserve judgement and see how he gets on. They must see something we dont.

Lowe IS relevant here, because his actions have shaped our thinking and expectations. We've been scarred, and some people dont really realise he and the sort of club he represented are GONE.

LOL spot on FC!! I don't think it will be Adams but have a nagging feeling it will not be a "big" name. Still we shall see soon, then the fun will start all over again!

Hey I welcome the fact that we will be arguing about teh relative merits of the Mangers again - not teh owners - because that is something that every football fan does up and down teh country - maybe not at Man U but even at Arsenal - so all will be well.;-)

Me ? You started the personal abuse...AGAIN.

You set yourself up for it mate. If you can't see your obsession with Lowe everyone else can.

We have suffered years of negative dribble from you and believe me, it is very tiresome.

At last we finally have a reason to look forward and be optimistic and here you go again. If you can't see the hypocracy of your post you need to try and become more self aware.

Few people on here have been more hateful and negative than you towards certain people at the club and it is still going on.

As I said, let it go. See if you can get through a month without slagging off either Lowe or Burley - there you go, there is a positive challenge for you!

Agree with this, no matter who the owners are the fans will always have something to say about the manager or who it should be.

You need to shed yourself of your obsession now. You are going to look really daft finding reasons to stalk my posts next season when I am writing comments which fall far short of normal people's perception of "negativity"

I don't hate him at all, in fact I quite like him as a person, and have great respect for him getting through his problems, having read his autobiography. I just don't want him as our manager. Nothing to do with the Pompey link either, I just don't think he's the right man for the job.

And therefore you would blame him if it all went wrong with him as manager.

Agreed, Tony Adams will not be our manager. It doesn't add up on many levels.

Although failure at a dumphole like Skate is not an adverse line on his CV.

He probably had to deal with a big,big bunch of prima donna, full weight c*nts down there and he wasn't yet ready for it.

Personally I trust the new management, if they appoint Adams, then they must have their reasons.I'd rather have Adams than say, Dowie or even Shearer.

Agree with all but the last sentence. I would prefer Dowie to Adams.

Lets hope eh, as you know I have always been positive and will continue to be so, I leave the past where it belongs, you should do as well as it cannot change. I look forward to the new management whoever it is.

Once again you completely miss the point. The obsession is yours. I don't stalk your posts but sadly I can't ignore them as they are there everyday, as welcome a a dog t*rd on my doorstep and as hardnot to step in.

Normal people's perception of negativity??? You have taken it to a whole new level mate.

No matter what happens next season I will bet anyone on here £20 that within weeks you find something/someone to home in on and attack.

I don't look daft because I don't have obsessive agendas. LIke most normal fans I have views and I have opinions. I don't launch obsessive campaigns against people I have never met.

I did actulaly put you on my ignore list for a while because you posts just fill me with dread and despair, but they kepy popping up in other people's replies to you so there was no missing them.

Really, you need to try and read your posts as others see them. And take a look at your avatar too, it scares my kids and doesn't help people's perceptions of who you are.

I note you didn't take up my offer then? Does that mean we are in for another seaosn of you shoe horning in attacks on people who are no longer a part of the club?
