Due to staff shortages Care in the Community had started to use convicted offenders as part of their community service to accompany their clients on their occassional day out. Has an uncanny resemblance to a character in a film played by Jack Nicholson (but can't recall film etc). Perhaps St Mary's is the setting for a new film "The caterer always rings twice..".
