Play off potential! with the our current bare bones team! their having a giraffe we don't have the quality. Still can't get my head round the fact that we are owned by a ridiculously wealthy man, and no alarm bells have rang to buy quality players instead we are relying on the usual free transfer rubbish and old has beens. Don't get me wrong i don't expect us to be buying premiership ability players but we should be at least aiming to get the best available for this league.

Poor defence, even poorer front line

Now taking that as it is NOW, not if maybe etc etc. I fail to see how having Rasiak, Saganowski and Patterson upfront could possibly be called a poor league 1 strike force. I think you need to think again..

Que Rasiak and Saganowski will be gone blah blah, even though they still seem to be here(currently)...

I think many people forget we got relagated and that quite a few of our players will be good players in this league.

Quite, as TDD has said many times, having seen league one matches, there are some poor teams in this division, it's a question of whether Pardew can get the best out of what we have as well as identifying the right player to bring in (barring work permit issues) where he sees gaps and inadequacies.

When you look down that list there is not much there that should frighten us. These sorts of predictions are based on the whole season and I'm fairly certain that the team that finishes it will be a lot different from the one that starts it.

True, it doesn't frighten me, just makes me sad to see how far we have fallen !

I agree that we will finish the season with a totally different (and hopefully much better) side than we start with but we really do have to go with the flow and stay positive !!

I'm not worried, these things will take some time to restructure and turn round. That's the trouble with the youngsters today, they want instant gratification. They're not prepared to plant the seeds and watch them grow. We may be lucky this season but I am patient and I expect it to be a long slow climb back up the leagues. We're not the first and we won't be the last club to drop to this level. Who's next? Newcastle anybody? Pompey can't be far off.
