niceandfriendly Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 No you'll need to buy a ticket beforehand.
the saint in winchester Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 "Pay on the gate"? This isn't Havant & Waterlooville. We buy tickets from the ticket office.
Katalinic Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 Shame as it would save a lot of unnnecessary queing at the ticket office first. Is this an SFC policy or a police/safety/don't trust the stewards with cash thing I wonder?
Matthew Le God Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 Shame as it would save a lot of unnnecessary queing at the ticket office first. Is this an SFC policy or a police/safety/don't trust the stewards with cash thing I wonder? It would mean long delays at the turnstiles waiting for tickets to be brought and hold up those already with tickets wanting to get in.
SaintDonkey Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 Shame as it would save a lot of unnnecessary queing at the ticket office first. Is this an SFC policy or a police/safety/don't trust the stewards with cash thing I wonder? They've done pay on the gate for friendlies and youth team matches so I'm guessing it's a police / FA requirement for competative matches.
Katalinic Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 It would mean long delays at the turnstiles waiting for tickets to be brought and hold up those already with tickets wanting to get in. I thought the seating was unallocated tonight?
niceandfriendly Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 I thought the seating was unallocated tonight? You still have to pay for that though and that takes time.
Katalinic Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 You still have to pay for that though and that takes time. Only if you want change! Take your point though.
SaintDonkey Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 You still have to pay for that though and that takes time. But that's imply avoided by having different turnstiles for cash sales and ticket holders. Gotta be a police / FA thing.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 Just been up and apparently only 6k sold so far. That's a bit low.
Dannyboy_Saint Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 I imagine there will be another 2000 or so walk up tonight.
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 There surely must be an easier way than queing at the ticket office to buy aticket, before going to the turnstile to get in?? Firstly this game should have been chucked into the season ticket bundle along with JPT games - I'm sure the club would get the tenner back in beer/Pie sales alone. Plus extra revenue from merchandise in the shop. I'm working away at the mo and might not get back in time but queing to get a ticket at the box office just puts me right off - just some old boy in the turnstile taking a tenner of you..... simples! Whitey Grandad Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 I bought mine last week. As an old git season-ticket holder it cost me £3.
david in sweden Posted 11 August, 2009 Share Posted 11 August, 2009 As per title well, they won't let you in free....or are you thinking of climbing over the fence, or scaling the walls ?
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 13 August, 2009 Share Posted 13 August, 2009 Went to watch Cov v Monkey Hangers last night at the ricoh and was able to pay £12 on the gate cash - nice and easy no fuss or bother. So why can't we do this for some games. Although once in side it was a cash less stadium so my sky blue mad mate told me?? - was impressed with how much more light and airey the concourse was. Also the selection of beers looked better- and it had a wimpey bar!!
