AndyD Posted 9 October, 2009 Share Posted 9 October, 2009 Feel good tonight - my brother went to the game tonight but I couldn't make it due to family commitments but so pleased with a convincing 3-1 win. You know what, I think, Alan, Might, Just might get us in the play offs this season! COYR
Justin C Posted 9 October, 2009 Share Posted 9 October, 2009 My view is that we are building a team to go up in the automatic places next year, but if things go well we could sneak and it would be a sneak into the play offs this year. i would be happy with a 10th finish with a good squad built for next year. However next season may not be a walk over league especially (i know there are problems with them) if Notts County come up with money. But the atmosphere at saints seems great already and we have not set the world alight!
Bailey Posted 9 October, 2009 Share Posted 9 October, 2009 Similarly to when we go a couple of games without winning, lets not get too carried away after a few wins either! I admit, Pardew has done a good job and on the whole the signs are encouraging, but there's still a long way to go before we can think about making the top six. Credit where credit is due however, a good, solid performance tonight and a well deserved three points. Lets just hope we can keep this run going and start to climb the table. Saint_clark Posted 10 October, 2009 Share Posted 10 October, 2009 Oldham is going to be a much, much tougher test than Southend.

I suppose if we draw the next two away games and lose at home to MK Dons the team will be spineless morons again heading for relegation. Pardew spoke about consistency tonight and I think that may apply to some of our fanbase.

John B Posted 10 October, 2009 Share Posted 10 October, 2009 For the first time for ages I felt sure we would win I finally think the bottom has been reached and we are on the way back. The formation now uses Lallana's talents to the full he can now shoot so very well done Pardew Wilkins Downes and Adam himself. Hope he does not move away until we have been promoted

greg_hill Posted 10 October, 2009 Share Posted 10 October, 2009 Let's take one thing at a time. I would truly be delighted just to escape relegation this season.
eurosaint Posted 10 October, 2009 Share Posted 10 October, 2009 As expectations rise so will the criticism after the inevitable future draws and defeats ! There are many blips ahead of us, but at least the captain now has control of the ship ! COYS.
