Le Tiss is......

Playing in a golf tournament that I'm playing in on Tuesday. It's a pro event but I assume he's entering it as an amateur, not as a pro. It's at a golf course called Remedy Oaks, which is near Bournemouth I think. He's a member there apparently - it looks very posh. Spectators welcome :-) I hope he doesn't beat me....that would be embarrassing!

Remedy Oaks suits Matt's game because he can get the ball to go a very long way, as long as some of the pros, and this course has some very long holes. I think he's about a 4 or 5 handicap. My husband played with MLT last week at Woburn. Have you played there, because he said it was a fantastic course?

Million Legend Trading - MLT

Serious - am at our Trade Show this week, the Hong Kong Pavillion had a huge banner on a trade stand stating

There's only one MLT

They didn't see the joke when I explained their name was wrong should read Million Legend Talent...

Been a busy day and will get busier all week

I heard about this tournament the other day. I think Kadeem Hardison is entering it as favourite from what I heard. I doubt he'll have to put much effort into it though considering his professional golfing credentials.

Lol I heard that somewhere too! I hope he gives me a chance!

Not heard that euphamism since Eton.

I'm afraid the joys of a private education passed me by and despite immersing myself in the George McDonald Fraser books about the stories of the caddish bully from Rugby I am not familiar with the term.

Are we talking something Boris and David may have experienced. I have not learned anything new today so please enlighten me so I can cross at least one thing off my to do list.

Sod the golf ask him when is he going to come clean about the betting scam? If wasn't Wimbledon what game was it and had the CPS considered it to be in the public interests what was the charge? Does he think there will be any civil proceedings?

Wish I played golf, on second thoughts I suppose now we know where he will be the media could just shove a microphone in his face as he unloaded his clubs hopefully along with his explanation to his adoring fans.

He's my hero, as he is for most Saints fans. So I won't be dragging up anything like that if I meet him briefly. Please give up on that, he's probably given you a lot of joy over the years when you've watched him play, don't forget that.

Don't tarnish this thread with all that stuff, much appreciated.

Do you think he might beat you Will? If so, best you get them thoughts out of your head right now and don't linger on it.

DO NOT LET HIM BEAT YOU.

Is it on Sky?

Nah I'm not worried. Only thing he's got over me is he doesn't have the pressure of playing for the prizemoney and he's on his home course. But still, not concerned.

It's not on sky, no. It's just a 1 day event, £3k to the winner. Maybe South Today might do a little something on it? I don't know to be honest.

Why? he gave me a lot of joy as a player but with Pinnacle and his betting scam revelation he has tarnished his reputaion IMO and not even deemed it worthy of explanation to his fans.

So sell your golf day with MLT by all means but don't try to censor those who may be a little less happy with his recent actions and revelations.

TBF Will, you have posted a golf thread on the main (Saints) forum. Mr C was just doing the decent thing and making it related to something releted to the football.

You could do worse than to mention the 'incident' to Matt if the opportunity arises actually, it will surely put him off his game, thus increasing your chances of not getting beaten by him, which you have hinted at is your reason for posting this information. You might consider a thank you to Mr C rather than a rebuke?

Sometimes, something just makes one laugh when one least expects it, this is one such occasion.

What nonsense, it's related to football because it involes MLT who happened to play FOOTBALL for SAINTS.

Can I get this straight, from what I've read, you don't like MLT, you don't like Lawrie Mac, and you defend Rupert Lowe.....you must be a skate on the windup, surely!

Aimed at 19C mate, sorry.

Regarding the odds...hmm, I don't know. Not really a betting man! Golf is a weird game, all sorts of strange things happen, I could shoot 67 and he could play the best round of his life and shoot 66. But the chances are slim. I'm playing pretty well at the minute....he'd have to play well and I'd have to have an off day.

No doubt you will get the answers on the day and report back to us Tuesday evening and you never know you might beat him as well.

Will, I hit a tee shot yesterday that landed less than 3 inches from the hole. It was and is the best shot I have ever played. Bear in mind that I am crap and that this was only the p and p and Riverside Park (please don't laugh), but I got an amazing 'buzz'' that makes me want to play again as soon as.

Do you still get the 'buzz' or has that given way to the pressure to perform now?

Incidentally, what would the par be for a pitch and putt for a decent player?

that's awesome mate! I hope you made a 2?!

I have to be honest, the buzz isn't really there in the same

way as when I was a kid. If I'm in contention, there's definitely a buzz, but a good shot or a good score doesn't excite me so much nowadays. At the end of the day, it's a job for me now. Try and make as much cash as I can to survive. It's quite intense because there are so many players trying to do exactly the same thing, so even though we all get along together, it's a cut throat thing and we'll do anything (within the rules) to make sure we make more money than the next person.

I still love the game though....if I didn't, I'd be doing a proper job!

I did of course hole it in two, but by golly I had to set up twice as I could actually feel the pressure, God knows how you guys do it every hole, every shot!!

I am right now watching the golf on Sky, those guys are amazing and I can see how the pleasure of a cracking shot soon passes as the next is tee's up.

I was really hoping that someone on here was going to arrange a forum tournament, why don't you do it Will? You would be a legend if you did.

Hamster, do you think you have a chance of making the Olympics. Insult to true sporting greatness including golf in the Olympics. Eventually you may see Sir Steve Redgrave's record being beaten by some geriatric golfer in rupert the bear trousers and hailed as the greatest ever Olympian. There are already some questionable sports in the Olympics and instead of adding to them they should have been kicked out.

I am indeed entering. I hope that Matt Le Tissier doesn't beat me. I probably won't be favourite but am pretty sure I will be amongst the favourites. I hope Matt Le Tissier doesn't beat me.
