Smirking_Saint Posted 26 November, 2009 Share Posted 26 November, 2009 Ok guys, crimbo is coming up. I thought it may be worth having a thread in which you can post any decent deals that you may have found. Hopefully it could make buying things for christmas a damn sight easier. Anyways, here are a couple i know of. http://www.lastminute.com/site/deals/christmas/offers.html?intcmp=main_hp_flash1_countdown_261109 -> Thursdays from 10am, decent selection. http://www.zavvi.com/home.dept -> They do a monday madness offer, unfortunately i believe it is only during november so you have probably got one day left. But they have a cut price sale whilst stocks last mondays. Hope these deals help, if anyone else finds any other, feel free to post

That site does have some good stuff on there, you just have to look past the idiots that post stuff about crisps being 10p a pack in their local Asda. Smirking_Saint Posted 30 November, 2009 Author Share Posted 30 November, 2009 I would wait a year for Windows 7, let them sort out the bugs first, then pick it up when it comes down in price a bit

JackFrost Posted 30 November, 2009 Share Posted 30 November, 2009 I would wait a year for Windows 7, let them sort out the bugs first, then pick it up when it comes down in price a bit that's what i tend to do. Unfortunately my hand was thrust this time because my XP hard drive is crammed with bugs and glitches and taking about as much time to boot up as it did a game on a commodore 64. Just save what you need from the hard drive and do a destructive write to wipe the drive ??? Then you can re-load windows and hopefully have no problems ?? If you take this course i also suggest splitting the HD and having a windows portion and data portion for the next time XP f*cks itself up. Essruu Posted 30 November, 2009 Share Posted 30 November, 2009 My sister has said that my niece wants a Michael Jackson 2010 calendar as part of her Christmas present. I refuse to buy this for her as I detest the man and his music. Does anybody know where I can get a Gary Glitter calendar for her instead?
ozzmeister Posted 2 December, 2009 Share Posted 2 December, 2009 Use this website to claim a free £40 wine voucher: http://www.nakedwines.com/thetrain You need a min spend of somethink like £70 but with £40 voucher you get a very decent selection. I went for one of their bundles which was reduced from £110 down to £79 and with voucher (+delivery) was £45 for 10 decent bottles of red and white. Above code has a time limit though and I dont know how long.
