Something smells more fishy than the previous smell of haddock from the 'plaice'. However it seems to be a moot point as apparently it is a FIFA condition. Just don't understand why it hasn't happened already! I think that it's because they already have the winding up petition hanging over them and due to be heard on 1 March. In a more extreme example, saints could have signed the entire man united team, thrashed pompey, then said sorry we can't actually afford the transfer fees or wages, never mind, can you open the window again so we can sell them. Just don't understand why it hasn't happened already! I don't think administration is now an option. The only way they can sell players now to realise money is liquidation. Exactly, looking at it this way the Premier League CANNOT allow them to sell players. But then again there had been talk about the PL protecting them from liquidation to some extent to avoid giving themselves a headache.
