NorthamSteve Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 My head hurts. Anyway, the Green Man was rocking, everyone was friendly, those lads by a bar outside Wembley cheering as people fell off the kerb on their way out was a particular highlight. We won a cup, I saw a Mexican wave, SFC took over London, we're making National News again, I just walked down the Avenue with a scarf and shirt on to get home - celebratory beeps every other step (was quite tiring celebrating again this morning). All in all I'm quite certain that this sort of thing wont happen in my lifetime too often, and you lot were superb. Well done. In reference to the lads outside and the falling-off-the-kerb business, what silly/funny things did you witness throughout the day?

People jumping off the wall after the game as the human gridlock meant it took 20 minutes to get away from the ground... and one woman getting stuck as it was a fair old distance.. The nipper who climbed up over the spiked railings and then thought twice before almost losing his crown jewels as he gingerly clambered over... The Ricky Lambert cutout dancing at the Green Man People all over Picadilly Square singing Red Army, and having French tourists sing along with them... Toomer Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 An entire mini-bus of Saints Fans lined up and having a wee through some old railings near the Hangar Lane roundabout! Passed a Lucketts Mini Coach parked on the hard shoulder of the A40 with them all up the bank having a pee.
StuRomseySaint Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 One of our coaches had to stop on the hard shoulder of the M25 on the way back... that's the last time I book coaches without toilets to try and make more profit. Rickie Lambert cut-out was funny, was stood up by the can bar before the game, good atmosphere from us Romsey folk before the game, the rest of you were sh!te. Fleet services was buzzing in the morning on the way up there. The nutty asian tramp dancing for money in the Green Man after was funny... for a while... then it was just funny watching him have endless amounts of beer cans thrown at him. It was 4, I know them all personally but, I won't out them tho because of the endless s... they took about how "small" they looked in those tight costumes. Superb effort tho lads!!! :smt035
damers Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 My mate jumping up as they scored their goal, he had a tenner on Lambert to score 1st and 4-1. The looks he got! The worst bit of the day.....Bet Fred shutting just after half time so he couldn't get his £760 to take us out last night!
Viking Warrior Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 Yes the power rangers outfits were cool. I shook hands with one of them in the green man. they needed balls to do that in such tight costumes. Accordingy to some who were in the green man that wasnt the case. the saint in winchester Posted 29 March, 2010 Share Posted 29 March, 2010 An entire mini-bus of Saints Fans lined up and having a wee through some old railings near the Hangar Lane roundabout! Same scenario, on the M25, in the slow traffic. That's what happens if you drink and can't get to the motorway services! :-)

Remember a guy jumping up and down shouting 'blow the whistle....blow the whistle !' up there and saying he was on for 700 quid Also the three p*ssheads on the way back from London on the 9.35, one of them threw up everywhere but was funny winding them up and their soberish mate trying to look after them. Went well with the post match celebratory drinking. They counted at least 50 people who, distracted by the cheers, looked over, tripped on the kerb and got an even bigger cheer, prompting even more people to trip , LOL :-) Until the oldish lady went straight down on her face...cringe
