Saint in Paradise Posted 26 April, 2010 Share Posted 26 April, 2010 Just a thought as I understand he is a German gentleman who has emigrated to Switzerland. Does this mean that GM will have to dislike him ? I mean an ex-pat is an ex-pat regardless of country of origin if he has emigrated :smt090

I'm really quite surprised that the even-handed and fair-minded individual that GM is, hasn't commented on that.

I welcome ML .. and his money. If he comes to SMS every game and wears red and white ..he's one of us ! dubai_phil Posted 27 April, 2010 Share Posted 27 April, 2010 Hmmm. So Markus comes to UK for home games. Does that mean he spends more than 1/6th his time in the UK? I have no idea but if he does then I wonder if the UK HMRC tax rules would apply to him and he has to pay tax in the UK as well as Switzerland. Wouldn't want us to be accused of harbouring a tax dodger :-)
