Baj Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 The lovely gf (aka Hot *****) is after a new car. She currently has a Galaxy but costs her a bomb in fuel. It needs to seat 6, but a 7th seat would be handy. She doesnt want a people carrier any more. Im not really too clued up on this sort of thing, my initial suggestion was Peugeot 307, my dad has one and MPG is great and seats 7. So, over to you guys, she has £3500 to spend. swannymere Posted 4 October, 2010 Share Posted 4 October, 2010 Mercedes Diesel Estate and run on veg oil. W124 or W210 should be achievable, look out for rust on the front wings and wheelarches.
Redbul Posted 5 October, 2010 Share Posted 5 October, 2010 Land Rover 110 Defender TD5; plenty of room for passengers AND luggage. And people get out of your way! And if you do bump into something parts are dirt cheap and bolt on. Ditto above, run it on veg oil.
swannymere Posted 5 October, 2010 Share Posted 5 October, 2010 Just so you know Peugeot, Citroen, Renault and Fiat HDi engines won't run on veg oil or biodiesel. Land Rover a great choice.
