I think last week in England only half dozen prem teams had higher attendances than us, as we beat all the championship and half the premiership figures, although not cheacked them all. Possibly every time there's an international break now and we are playing at home we could be setting the highest club attendance in the world for that weekend.

Except if we are away at mighty footballing giants such as Bomo, Brighton, Orient, Carlisle, Walsall etc etc.

Wednesday are a big club in terms of history and tradition, years ago Hillsborough was one of the grounds alwasy used for FA Cup semi finals, going back in time their fan base was twice that of ours. We have only really grown as a club in the last 10 years, although we were restricted by the Dell in the 90's even in our glory years of the early 80's we struggled to get crowds of 20k and rarely sold out.

What a great thread, and a sign of how magnificent our support has become over recent weeks in what have been difficult times. Who would have thought just a few saturdays ago on a scheduled league match day (21st August), Arsenal, Birmingham, Everton, Stoke, West Brom, West Ham, Wigan, Bristol City, Burnley, Cardiff, Coventry, Crystal Palace, Hull, Leeds, Norwich, Preston, QPR, Reading, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Bristol Rovers, Colchester, Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Oldham, Plymouth, Accrington Stanley, Burton Albion, Bury, Chesterfield, Crewe, Gillingham, Rotherham, Shrewsbury, Southend, Stevanage, Torquay, Wycombe, AFC Wimbledon, Altricham, Barrow, Bath City, Cambridge, Eastbourne Boro, Fleetwood Town, Forest Green, Grimsby, Kettering, Kiddeminster and Newport County all got higher attendances than us!

We must be the fastest growing team in terms of support in the world right now! COUS!

Sorry, I meant the 14th August (D'oh!) when Aston Villa, Blackburn, Bolton, Chelsea, Sunderland, Spurs, Wigan, Wolves, Barnsley, Derby, Cardiff, Doncaster, Ipswich, Leicester, Milwall, Pompey (Pompey FFS!), Scunny, Sheffield United, Swansea, Watford, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Bristol Rovers, Colchester, Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Oldham, Plymouth, Accrington Stanley, Burton Albion, Bury, Chesterfield, Crewe, Gillingham, Rotherham, Shrewsbury, Southend, Stevanage, Torquay, Wycombe, AFC Wimbledon, Altricham, Barrow, Bath City, Cambridge, Eastbourne Boro, Fleetwood Town, Forest Green, Grimsby, Kettering, Kiddeminster and Newport County all got higher attendances than us because we didn't play.

Just trying to point out that it seems we have the fastest growing fanbase at the moment. At least in England anyway! COUS!

Ok now I'm with you. I was trying to work out how Forest green got over 21,000 for a game.
