Window Cleaner Posted 28 February, 2011 Share Posted 28 February, 2011 It's really not surprising with the gates some of these clubs are getting.I really don't know how clubs like Hartlepool and Dagenham can survive at this level.I wouldn't doubt that our odysee last week would gobble up an entire home gate for Daggers.I can't remember what Oldham's gates are like but the fact that any club in this league ( Saints,Charlton and Brighton apart) has cash flow problems isn't amazing. trousers Posted 28 February, 2011 Share Posted 28 February, 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/o/oldham_athletic/9409318.stm Oldham Athletic have confirmed their players have not received their wages for February. A statement on the club website said the squad were not paid because of a "cash-flow issue" but it would be "resolved within the next three days". "I wouldn't call it an absolute crisis but it's true that the players haven't been paid on Friday," chief executive Alan Hardy told BBC Radio Manchester. "All I can say is this a short-term problem," he added.

Red And White Barmy Army Posted 28 February, 2011 Share Posted 28 February, 2011 Can we have a league table without them? and then one without them and plymouth? thanks.
Saint_Jonny Posted 28 February, 2011 Share Posted 28 February, 2011 Can we have a league table without them? and then one without them and plymouth? thanks. They wont go pop. And I don't want them too! Had two cracking days at Oldham since we've been in L1, lets hope they stay afloat just so we can have another great away day if (god forbid) we are still in this league next season. benjii Posted 28 February, 2011 Share Posted 28 February, 2011 In the teenie-tiny eventuality that they go pop it will surely be bad news for us. I'm not sure how the other promotion contenders have got on but we have taken 6 points from them with a net goal difference of +7 so I doubt anyone has bettered that.
