Spudders Posted 7 June, 2011 Author Share Posted 7 June, 2011 I hear there's a lot of french police lurking about on the route down there, to keep an eye on all the british drivers who like to rag it down the motorways!
swannymere Posted 7 June, 2011 Share Posted 7 June, 2011 Don't even bother breaking the speed limit on the way down, the French police are parked up every 5km or by the nearest cashpoint just waiting to relieve you of your hard earned or your car. The fines can be huge by the way, a friend of friend had to pay €1000 in cash last year for a speeding fine or face having his car confiscated! Saint in Paradise Posted 7 June, 2011 Share Posted 7 June, 2011 IF you have a radar detector either don't use it or leave it at home. If you see a cop hide it very quickly. .
JackFrost Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Allan McNish has already had a massive crash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2Nb0Ienv6k
SO16_Saint Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Allan McNish has already had a massive crash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2Nb0Ienv6k Could have been so so much worse! One foot higher, the car would have been over the barrier and into 10 or so spectators, and a concrete wall.
Baj Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Stupid over take, even if he hadn't connected with the ferrari, he was still carrying way too much speed into the corner and would have gone off.

DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Stupid over take, even if he hadn't connected with the ferrari, he was still carrying way too much speed into the corner and would have gone off. He must have had a fault, like you said, if he`d some how missed the ferrari, he would have plowed into the next 2!!!
bungle Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Mike Rockefeller has had a huge crash in one of the other Audi's, also being clipped by a slower car, but this one really did look the fault of the car he was lapping. Another hour or so under the safety car.
John Boy Saint Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Here we go 2hrs on the M25 or Perepheric on a Friday night, and they are about to be let off the leash with chilly tyres. Planned to go twice, and twice something has scuppered the adventure to Le Mans.
