Current Form

Having undergone a Damascian conversion, I am now a big fan of form guides. Based upon the last 6 games - Form Guide - we are 12th, and 13 teams have the same or worse goal difference. I was concerned for a while.

I'm now officially allowing laces and belts.

Can we get at least 8 points from the next 6 games?

If we can things will be looking better

The thing is current form means feck all where saints are concerned three wins in a row can just as easily be followed by three heavy defeats and vice versa ya never know what saints are gonna turn up on the day. Maybe thats what makes it exciting/nerve wracking, supporting them?

Yes I know they lost to SFC but as I said if we beat Burnley that will be excellent but unlikely I would have thought

If we win at Burnley that will be excellent as they have only lost once at home.

We play better away from home against teams that don't sit in front of their box all match. In my opinion we're more likely to get a win against Burnley then against Wednesday, not because Burnley are a worse team (although their match against Wednesday would suggest that ;)) but because their style at home is better for us.

Your position is a possibility but I would have thought not likely .

Surely it is time we scored a goal and won at home.

Yes

As you are a convert to form guides, I admire your optimism completely ignoring the home form guide. We have only won 1 at home all season but you predict we will win the next 2. We can hope, but I for one wouldn't put money on it. If we can get 8 points from our next 6 games, then that will be quite an achievement, I don't feel optimistic about any of these games quite frankly. Probably knowing Saints we will beat Burnley away though.

A positive me will say 9 points from those games, but I think 7 is more realistic. Wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Notts Forest aren't out of the question and we've beaten Reading away so could perceivably pick up a point against them at home if not more.

For the first time in a shameful 12 years, I'm dropping my plastic tag and am going to watch Palace vs Saints at Selhurst, so I hope for at least a draw or better! (I also expect to get to a home game or two later in the season, so I'm not only a poor fan, I'm not even a very good plastic!
