Hi all.

Can anyone recommend anything to help cure my PC freezing issue?

It's a relatively new (18 months) HP touchscreen pc running win7.

We only use it for Internet and basic office uses, so nothing major.

Thanks!

Two things:

1. Go to the HP website and let it automatically check your laptop for latest updates including drivers

2. Make sure the air vents are not blocked causing overheating issues.

Haha! It freezes doing anything. ..or nothing!

It's frozen now for example, trying to get Chrome ooen.

The mouse is moving but not doing anything, and the clock still says 10:03

Not sure on your specific model, but does it have a hard disk activity LED/light? I'm assuming it's an SSD disk as it's a touch screen, but I've seen this problem with them before - sounds like a failed disk, or one that is about to fail IMO. When a system becomes unresponsive with everything, but you can still use the mouse....then it's often a sign that you've got spyware/virus, and if it's not that....a faluting hard disk.
