bangkoksaint Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Tyler Dibling not really tearing it up tonight sadly. Mostly just looks for the safe pass.

Those people who will look at stats. and see a "journeyman" who played well for a short time with Saints in the Spring of 2012 - would be doing him an injustice, when in fact he was " almost single-handedly" responsible for our promotion that season. During one of those rare periods when Rickie Lambert was.. a bit below par...and not fully fit, RL managed just 2 or 3 goals in the period upto Easter, whilst Billy netted 8 times in vital games that won us the points - and eventual promotion. In the post-Adkins period, Bill didn't fit the pattern that Pochettino wanted and after an unhappy loan-out, he eventually left the club, whilst new names came in, but failed to score the goals that we so badly needed. His career afterwards, was a succession of short term moves to numerous clubs, not least to Sheffield, on 2 or more occasions. Billy may have lacked the skill and consistency that some others possessed, but nevertheless knew how to find the net and won many fans throughout the country. Good luck to him, and who knows.. he might even score the winner for R and D's in the Cup. 3
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Messi wins the MLS Golden Boot a second season, with the Beeb saying "Messi becomes only the sixth player to land the award twice, joining a list that includes former Charlton Athletic and Southampton striker Bradley Wright-Phillips." Will Messi retire having now reached the pinnacle of matching BWP?
sadoldgit Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Archer had the ball in the net again yesterday only this time it was ruled out for hand ball in the build up. He had only failed to score in two matches this season for Auxerre. Edited 1 hour ago by sadoldgit Typo
