We're certainly the worst club against Stoke. A really miserable team to play against, no matter what season, what scenario, what quality of player, what league.

It's always pure misery.

It is remarkable the way it seems we are the only side that never make it count when the opposition goes down to 10 men. It’s not a new phenomenon either, I remember us playing Colchester back in 2010 or something and were up against 10 men for an hour and could only muster a 0-0 draw

And the other way round, if we go down to 10 or 9 men, we lose 9-0.

Spurs away quite recently lost 2-1 to 10 men. But we were at it back in March 1986 when we lost 1-0 away at 10 man West Brom - who were relegated that season. I seem to recall we missed a penalty as well.

We did, WBA had the no-smoking sponsor logo. Owen their Canadian ex-Man City midfielder scored. They were as bad as we were last season.
