I've often wondered what they'd do. No chance of any sort of bubble, no chance of it not being on the Saturday of the bank holiday weekend. Imagine 35,000 from each team scattered all across London, it would be a complete and utter warzone.

Nah, they'd be their usual selves gobbing off in the build up about what they're going to do to the scummers on and off the pitch. When it came to it they'd be hanging around waiting for police escorts, hiding in pubs and on trains, drinking miles away from anywhere with lots of pictures all over social media of Pompey looking for scum etc, in the event they did bump into us they'd be safely behind police lines but giving it the trampoline shouting "come on then". Then for years endless fairy tales about how they smashed scummers all over London, scum never showed etc etc

Not a lot they could do really beyond encourage certain travel routes and have loads of police at tube stations etc.

Imagine they'd tell skates to go via Victoria instead of Waterloo but can't actually force them.

They'll drop off substantially anyway and probably end up lower midtable. A one off play off game at St Mary's midweek if we finished 5th and 8th would be fun though.

What’s prompted Ronaldo to retire today suddenly?

I wonder if he’s been told he won’t be selected for PT squad and is saving face?

Ronaldo doesn't take well to playing second fiddle to anyone. I remember the aggro that Gareth Bale got from him when he first went to Real Madrid. Ronaldo has been world class in his time and he has kept himself super fit but time catches up with everyone. He would rather make his own decision to go now than to become a bench warmer.

Its a brilliant league isn't it, so many teams in the mix, Skates starting to look like genuine play off contenders

Wolves seem to have a knack of picking up wins, good bet for a top 2 spot

It’s class, topsy turvy and anyone can beat anyone.

I do think there are some false positions in there though:

Stoke - regularly score screamers and win by a single goal despite not doing much else. Unreal run but unsustainable

Swansea - really good start but being found out whenever they play anyone up the top end of the table. Will be top 8 I’m sure but not in the autos conversation

Pompey - like Stoke, they’ve won a lot of games that were a coin flip and don’t actually play that well, but still find a way to win. Won’t last. Hopefully their form will drop off with their usual Xmas/January meltdown

West Ham - you’d think Scott Parker will implement his boring brand of football enough for them to tighten up at the back, while having enough individual quality to score goals. Will probably still be in the mix for top 2

Just seen that Bournemouth beat Sparta Prague tonight, having already beaten one of the Milan sides, and have a fixture to come against Hapoel Be’er Sheva. Quite the coincidental set of fixtures.
