1976_Child Posted 20 February, 2009 Share Posted 20 February, 2009 I have just looked at the league table for the first time in ages. We all know the facts but when you see it in black and white it really brings it home. We have played 32 games this season. We have only won 6 of them. And only one of those at home. Our goal difference is -21. six wins from 32. That is your record Rupert. That is how much your 'total football' Dutch set up has been worth. Christ, if nothing else speaks volumes about Lowe's incompetence it is this fact. We have won 6 out of 32 games, and only won one at home all season. Rupert, you are a loser. Window Cleaner Posted 20 February, 2009 Share Posted 20 February, 2009 do not forget how big the gap is to safety But if we won tomorrow and Forest lost then we would be 3 points behind them and have a game in hand.Similarly Norwich except that we'd be closer.A couple of good results for any of the bottom 6 sides would change the table radically. In fact I think that tomorrows results might well affect the board's discussions on Tuesday.I mean if we've managed to close up the gap a bit (big if true) then I don't see them gifting survival to one of the other badly placed sides. there's a lot of new money on stream next season and knowing our board I don't see them gifting it to Forest,Plymouth,Watford or Norwich just yet. offix Posted 20 February, 2009 Share Posted 20 February, 2009 If you believe the league table, you must not be a real fan! We are playing great football. Just a bit unlucky. Believe the league table? You must want us to fail! Support Mr. Chocolate for God's sake!
VectisSaint Posted 20 February, 2009 Share Posted 20 February, 2009 But if we won tomorrow and Forest lost then we would be 3 points behind them and have a game in hand. And if won the game in hand........we would still be behind Forest barring a set of fluke results. Our goal difference is 9 worse than Forest, so effectively we would still be 4 points behind. Apart from the embarrassment of only 1 home win all season, it is also of critical concern that we have only won by 2 clear goals twice, and only scored 3 times in 1 game once all season. The chances of us improving our goal difference significantly is very low. That said we will probably win 6-0 tomorrow

Dont forget conceding two goals for five consecutive matches, under Wotte we have to score three to win a match? Edited 20 February, 2009 by PaulSaint Error
