DT Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 Sounds like Forest are at least trying to save themselves by getting in more firepower. If only we could think of that.

Looks like one of the loanees they've just got in has injury problems already. Still with an international break after this week-end's games I guess it's a good time to get new players in. Not that we will mind you, probably be more outs than ins.
Calvin Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 I would love to see Harewood at Saints because of his strength and his pace, but it would mean a huge sacrifice in terms of the fee and the wages which we will have to pay, just to loan such a player. Lowe is too afraid to take risks!

Lowe is too afraid to take risks! You can't even take risks with money you don't have and can't get. That's our problem, money doesn't grow on trees at SFC, never has, we have hardly ever made money, not even in the glory days of the premiership. When we had a team we didn't have a ground, then when we had a ground we didn't have a team apart from 1 season. Our only real source of money has been selling players and now we don't have any to sell.

Does anyone know how come Saints can afford to play Euell, Saga and Rudi now? when earlier in the season we couldn't afford to select them and lost lots of points by selecting 8 or 9 youngsters? Also Saints have never been high wage payers even in the premier league and must have sold nearly 100 players since relegation so not sure where all the money has gone? Probably because of the bit of money we made from the Utd game. we shipped out John and I suppose gained a bit of leeway for Saga. Euell and Skacel have been here all along, doubt if there's much appearance related money to be honest.

We spent it on crap. Find the Echo from 20th January 2006, it's all detailed in there.Since then there has been more crap in than good players out. We are wastrels, we turn good money into crap. St Paul Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 We needed a goalkeeper last season, when Kelvin was injured and Crouch got Wright in ( at great expense I'm sure). His performances certainly made a big difference to us staying up. Fast forward to this season and the need for a striker, what does Lowe do, sit on his hands. We need a last throw of the dice, we need to take a gamble, otherwise we're down. Perhaps Wilde can fund it, perhaps if Lowe or Cowan paid their severence money back, perhaps they should go cap in hand to Leon. But DO SOMETHING LOWE. At least theyr'e GOING TO HAVE A PARLIAMENT STARTED BY MAY...Your'e suggestion will then be put to the Parliament who will put it to The Board Of Directors who will ask Mr Wilde to ask Mr Lowe for a decision on the required striker who will arrive in August after pre season training...His name Robertson or Peckhart:smt017
CB Fry Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 Lowe is too afraid to take risks! You can accuse our esteemed chairman of plenty of things, but being afraid to take risks is not one of them. You do realise Mr Lowe placed the very existance of the club in the hands of a unqualified, out of his depth dutch dipstick, don't you? How much bloody risk do you want? Big John Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 How about we express an interest too? Slow down the negotiations and unsettle the player a bit. Cite some made up nonsense reason and end our ineterest after the others have been scared off. Scullduggery and brinksmanship.

Window Cleaner Posted 20 March, 2009 Share Posted 20 March, 2009 HAREWOODS gone to wolves and billy davies is not happy! oh well billy!!!!! Yes but isn't there some sort of permanent deal in prospective at the end of the season with Wolves? I mean at Wolves he may get Prem football again although it seems to be beyond his capabilities. League 1 with Forest is probably less of a draw.
