eelpie Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 I'm wondering if Joseph Mills will be playing for us next season. I hope so, but he's doing well on loan with promotion chasing S****horpe, so it's not impossible that he could be playing for them in the Championship next season, while we are languishing in League 1! How ironic that would be. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11521
Sheff Saint Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 It worries me he doesn't see much difference in the competition between the CCC and League 1. Means we's is well and truly f**ked next season if he's right!
Saint_clark Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 I hope so. Whilst the experiment at the start of the season was an utter disaster, i'm sure all of us would love to see a team full of home grown players.
ribbo Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 he's playing well for them, he's getting games under his belt which is always good and he's not playing in the crap reserve league we play in, good on the lad i say, I hope he returns a better player and breaks into the team, i think he's got a future. Arizona Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 Fish at LB, Skacel in the hole, McGoldrick can p*ss off. Sorted.
Andy_Porter Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 Fish at LB, Skacel in the hole, McGoldrick can p*ss off. Sorted. I'd go along with that, isn't ideal to break up a strong looking back four but I think we need more creativity in midfield and Skacel should replace one of Surman, Lallana or McGoldrick. Infact the only midfielder worth his spot at the moment is Gillett.

team-saint Posted 18 March, 2009 Share Posted 18 March, 2009 i thought he was good at the start of the season, in fact i would have said that he was one of the few youngsters that we could actually rely upon. if we go down then presumably he will be first choice left back next year. rooney Posted 19 March, 2009 Share Posted 19 March, 2009 I first saw him at Exeter in a pre-season friendly a couple of seasons ago and he had a very good game. I think he has done well when playing for us and his loan spell will only make him a better player.
Chez Posted 19 March, 2009 Share Posted 19 March, 2009 jo was worse than his brother, both rubbish was he? I thought he looked decent. A few rash challanges but at least he got stuck in. He looked confident on the ball, decent in the air for a small guy and despite having no protection in front of him not all that much went past him. Far more impressive than Molyaneux thats for sure. SaintRobbie Posted 19 March, 2009 Share Posted 19 March, 2009 It worries me he doesn't see much difference in the competition between the CCC and League 1. Means we's is well and truly f**ked next season if he's right! I have been saying this for a while. I've watched a couple of League 1 games this season - strugglers Swindon Town - and I can tell you honestly that their performance looked better than 75% of that I have witnessed from Saints - and was certainly better than the last game against QPR. I am genuinely worried. If (when) we relegate we are not equipped to mount a promotion challenge with the youth that will stay and have not got the money to rebuild a team of men to battle out of the league back to the CCC. Also, we most certainly do not have the manager who can do it - from respect from fans to knowledge of the league he faces. I'll say it again. Under Lowe and Wotte we are as likely go down to League 2 by the end of the season as a mid-table finish. We will not promote given our current stripped out team and the exodus that will follow in the summer.
Saint Charlie Posted 19 March, 2009 Share Posted 19 March, 2009 If we go down we should nick Eddie Howe from down the road. Young up coming manager who has done a great job so far down there with no money and knowledge of all leagues in England.
