chocco boxo Posted 31 March, 2009 Share Posted 31 March, 2009 Whats the betting he gets injured vrs Charlton and is out for the rest of the season? I hope not but got a funny feeling :-[
chocco boxo Posted 31 March, 2009 Share Posted 31 March, 2009 I'll give you 5/1 on him playing against Charlton and then not again for the rest of the season. I'll would have liked 8's but might take you on at 6's?
the saint in winchester Posted 31 March, 2009 Share Posted 31 March, 2009 He wasn't anything special for the Reserves last night. I was expecting him to shine. He and Smith - both left sided - were swapping over, but neither seemed to be able to cross or shoot with their right foot. Be interesting to see who Wotte goes for on the left side on Saturday. Chez Posted 31 March, 2009 Share Posted 31 March, 2009 Holmes is on a par with Smith. Both extremely average to say the least.

JustMike Posted 31 March, 2009 Author Share Posted 31 March, 2009 tell me more. They both remind me of chocolate fireguards. he was playing well before his injury, likes to get down the line and cross the ball rather than fook about with it with countless step overs. he has good pace and can pick a pass. I think we have missed him

I think we have missed him Sorry Mike, Holmes has no pace whatsoever and as per Beckham is astute at hitting ball early....Our forwards in those few games were still in the changing room reading Ruperts coaching notes. Arizona Posted 31 March, 2009 Share Posted 31 March, 2009 He played well in those brief first few games when he, Lallana, DMG, Gillett and MS looked like Real Madrid's forward line. Since then only Gillett has looked good IMO.

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha. Thanks for that Ari. I needed a good laugh. Or were you referring to the Real team at the same time, that couldnt score in a brothel and got Schuster sacked in the autumn. Chez Posted 31 March, 2009 Share Posted 31 March, 2009 (edited) he was playing well before his injury, likes to get down the line and cross the ball rather than fook about with it with countless step overs. he has good pace and can pick a pass. I think we have missed him he may have dazzled a few with his shiny white boots but his lack of pace, trick or effort to get up and down were all I saw. The only thing I liked about him was the fact he was a left footed player willing to cross the ball rather than keep coming inside or coming back on himself. Having said all that Surman has been so poor in recent weeks that perhaps some competition, any competition can't be a bad thing. these things take time Posted 8 April, 2009 Share Posted 8 April, 2009 Great news, was our best player until he got injured the first time. Offers genuine width and not afraid to have a go at his man. Offered a great outlet which quickly turned defence to attack. Lets just hope Wotte plays him of the left as I can't see him being much use on the right. Must keep Holmes regardless of what league we are in next season. Bailey Posted 8 April, 2009 Share Posted 8 April, 2009 Hopefully it is just a minor setback. We could really do with a fully fit Holmes for the run-in.
