bigdavewatson Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I truly congratulate you. You were the only aspect of today's game that I felt pride in. Well done boys and girls. I have been sitting at home getting wound up by my two daughters (7 and 9) teliing me how "we're not very good, are we Daddy" I know it's only football, I know it shouldn't really matter, I know I am a truly fortunate person to have my health and life ahead of me. Why does it hurt so? why can't I be logical and rational? why cant I support another team? Why can't I stay away on Monday? Why do I feel as if someone had died? I need help. God knows how the faithfull feel after actually being there COYR

Michelle Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 God knows how the faithfull feel after actually being there Devastated. Dunno why, we pretty much saw it coming - just not quite in the manner in which it actually occurred! Don't congratulate us too much though. That place is a ****** to get atmosphere going in the away section, we tried our best before the sucker punches, but after that it did go noticeably quiet. Unsurprisingly, there was nothing much to shout about after that, it and did hit people, me included - stunned into silence I think I said at half time. Fair play to those that did try and keep it going mind - just don't be shouting in my ear telling me I shouldn't be there because I'm not singing. Block 5 Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 To be honest us fans were pretty bad today. I was there and there wasn't much singing because there was little to inspire us. You probably heard the Wolves fans singing Oh When the Wolves going marching in on TV. Some good ironic humour from us though. Oh, and I did enjoy the songs about the bloke on the naughty chair. Saint Garrett Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 Atmosphere was terrible today to be honest in the away end. Was very difficult to get any kind of noise going, but we hardly had a thing to sing/cheer about. Also enjoyed the songs about the steward on the naughty chair ! Rattlehead's a genuine fan. He's travelled the length of the country supporting Saints, but he was sensible enough to do it in a period when most of the players gave a **** about playing for Saints and you could identify with them. Like me, he sees little point in spending a small fortune watching a poorly managed spineless shower of sh1te.

And so what if it had been empty? Do you think we'd have done any worse? Well done to the fans for keeping it down to a 3-0 defeat, sort of thing? The point is your support is wasted on those useless c*nts. I'm sorry you wasted your time today but the club and particularly the players ARE making mugs of genuine people like you, I really am. They simply didn't appear to give a flying sh*te today. As far as saying "you're a mug" to your face on Monday, I would quite happily do this. However, I won't be there because I don't feel those spineless t*sspots deserve my support.

Rattlehead Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 You contradict yourself, you say would no fans make it worse and in the next line than those that went for keeping at 3-0 Maybe my post could have been phrased better but the question marks, a hint of sarcasm and the "sort of thing" bit were quite key to being able to properly understand what I meant. I think you may have missed them. However, I would remind you that (despite what you might think) we are on the same side here - we both support Saints and, as Pat from Poole says, I've followed them all over the place (with Pat) for years and years. Maybe it's just that I'm going through a difficult patch with the c*nts, who knows eh?

Poor thats one of the only times i smiled for hour n 45 mins !!! Anyone know what was going on with all the 'yoof' anyway ?? I was depressed and enmbarased enough being the only **** in my local-ish pub in a Saints shirt and pleading with them to put the game on and turn dowm Oasis so I could listen to the commentary. So fair play to those who went, including some good pals of mine, and yes we are generally shxt on the pitch but the fact is that WE are the club. I came away from Vicarage Road quite elated, not because I think we are staying up but because of the total unity and common cause of purpose of our fans. No fans = no club Good on you on those who went today and I hope our yoof were on top form because Wolves fans really are are a bunch of cxnts? Bourne Valley Saint Posted 11 April, 2009 Share Posted 11 April, 2009 Went up with four mates from Salisbury by train. £46.00 train fare, £27.00 match ticket, £30.00 booze and grub. Best part of £100.00 spent. Good day out as usual, apart from the 90 minutes from 3.15 to 5.00 p.m. We met Sam Vokes's dad in the pub before the game - Saints fan through and through, so is Sam Did you see how he didn't really celebrate when he scored? Saints could have had him. That just about sums us up! A pitiful performance yesterday, reminiscent of Burnley the way we started. Game all over after 15 minutes. Fair play to the fans who stayed for the duration but there was nothing to cheer or get excited about. I've got a ticket for Sheff W but cant get excited about it. Just be watching the further demise of our once great club. What a sorry state of affairs. Almost an embarrasment to be linked with the club. ladysaint Posted 11 April, 2009 Share Posted 11 April, 2009 Mugs thats a little unfair, I wish Icould stop my support but I support the club not the 11 players on the pitch at that time and our club is slowly dying and I am sure that the last rites will be performed before the end of the season. I cant say I am enjoying it at the moment, in fact yesterday was the first time I wanted to leave after 15 minutes but whilst there is still a club to support I will continue to be a mug.
