70's Mike Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 everyone feel leading up to the game tomorrow. The game itself is still important to avoid the 10 points next season but i just cannot get really wound up for it, sadness and anger are the primary feelings. But hiding behind them is hope and a degree of optimism that the worst, short of winding up the club, is now behind us. one thing is certain Nothing will be the same again

Man U reject but a bloody good one.The sort of player we should have been looking at instead of wasting all that money on..well you know who I mean. The9 Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 I am fully expecting the event to be bordering on emotional at times, and the team to capitulate like a bunch of wusses once more. Though watching a "thirteen-pointer" is kinda cool.
lee_saint Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 I think we'll get a result tomorrow, no real pressure and hopefully some players will be wanting to put themselves in the shop window.
Andy_Porter Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 I honestly couldn't care less. I've been very nervous before the last few games since Lowe left but after Sheffield and the points deduction this season is dead to me, I just want it to be August so we can start a fresh with the 10 point deduction. From start to finish this season has been a disaster and tomorrow will be no different imo, still i'll be there and at Forest...
lordswoodsaints Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 tbh i cant wait for the season to be over whatever the outcome,i am tired of all the non football stuff and really dont give a chuff what happens.i think i have wasted too much of my valuable time this year worrying about a bunch of overpaid ponces and i need a break from it.i also need a break from this forum which i will be doing after the last game of the season............i will just be going through the motions tomorrow just to see out my last ticket from my season ticket book....sad really. does it really matter what the result is? do i really care? i need to spend more of my time getting my business back on track and less time fretting over 11 men kicking a pigs bladder around an expensive back yard. Marsdinho Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 Im with Leon on this one. Tomorrow I will be there cheering the team on to a fantastic win, hoping that another win follows against Forrest The 2 wins meant that we avoided relegation, THEN we win the legal battle with the football league, thus playing football in the championship next season. Mr saint Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 I'm expecting there to be a very good atmosphere for some reason. I really hope there is. After all, we don't have to worry about relegation as such anymore. No point in kicking up a fuss about it. I plan to enjoy myself and do my bit to show the world what Saints fans are all about. For the game itself: 2-

In fact we could win 2 and still have a 50% chance (or so) of going down. 50 points may come up short.

Snopper Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 I feel that tomorrow will be more of a tribal gathering than attending a football match at SMS. I just hope it doesn`t end up being a wake.
Legod Third Coming Posted 24 April, 2009 Share Posted 24 April, 2009 I feel that tomorrow will be more of a tribal gathering than attending a football match at SMS. I just hope it doesn`t end up being a wake. That my friend is down to thee and me and our bravery. I for one shall be singing my fecking heart out for 124 years of our club and hoping to God for 124 more.

Dream on. I actually think the best hope of not getting knocked the ten points is that we get relegated anyway, then we could argue that new owners are being unfairly penalised for a questionable offence & they might go for a quiet life. They WON'T let us stay up, come what may As for how I currently feel - empty & numb, but tomorrow might be emotional
