OK good post . Apologies for my comment. I’m sure you’ll get over it. Like I have said RM isn’t the man for the job. I get his thinking but when it clearly isn’t working and has cost us an automatic promotion place it’s insane. Another thing I always thought he had the players inline but his comments suggest to me he’s lost the dressing room . He hasn’t got the gravitas. A lot of these players have played international football. I’ve always thought Che always put in a far better performance for Scotland. Stuey is a great leader but he’s going to see RM method ain’t working. Doubt whether he’s the type of guy that stirs the sh*t but

IMO Russell Martin is a good manager. He has some great ideas. I reckon it was too much too soon for him. Far too much pressure. convinced he will go at the end of the season. I keep on mentioning the ruthlessness of SR ditching a good manager when Goztepe were near the top of the league and replaced him with a better manager without the previous guys flaws. Yes it’s a different league but Goztepe have the biggest fanbase in Turkey and the fans take no prisoners.

If we go up. Don’t think RM will be around and SR ( yeah I know ) said we have contingency plans so we stay up and don’t wallow around in the relegation zone. Admittedly it might have been Jason Wilcox that said that 🤔 I don’t think so .

Dragan didn’t buy Saints for financial reasons . Do some research. He owns a lot of corporations in Serbia and Greece . He’s well known in the Balkans. Not a perfect comparison but he’s like a Balkan Rupert Murdoch. Richest man in Serbia .He’s a major thorn in the side of the pro- Russian government because of his huge communications business. Dragan pro- west . Dont underestimate him . He’s so pissed the Serb government. He doesnt visit Serbia anymore for fear of being assassinated.

I like Russell Martin but I was convinced a while ago SR would ditch him . I wish I can remember the details but Goetepe had a decent manager they were doing OK but there was underlying discontent with his tactics. Completely out of the blue SR sacked him some were annoyed because Goztepe were fairly high up in the league. They had a new manager lined up and Goztepe completely improved. Dragan Solak will find our failure humiliating. Said before he owns a lot of companies and is very heavily involved in Serbian politics . I’ve followed his career . They have a business model and with the squad we have we should have pissed the league. Manage to blag our way up through the playoffs or stay in the championship there’s no way SR will say we were unlucky nearly made it .

I am fairly sure Rasmus won’t be let anywhere near club recruitment. He’s a guy who will spend a whole season assessing a player . That’s why it went tits up when Shields walked out ( and made such a dynamic impression on Chelsea 🤔 ) . Again Rasmus is solely in charge of development of the SR roster. The only time Southampton mention him is if he visits one of the clubs. For what I can see he’s doing a grand job at the other two.I fully expect us to add an Irish and then maybe a Greek or Serbian team.

He will have seen this coming for a while. I’m not that bothered now . I was initially taken in by Wilcox first couple of interviews. I havnt seen much of an impact from him. I often mention how unpopular Ratcliffe is in Manchester most of which I’m not going to mention. TBF most of it is only relevant to genuine United fans . Wilcox will know all about him and he’s been given a lower level job with far more money.If Ratcliffes grandiose plans go tits up . Yeah totally agree all of the top 6 are flawed. All their forums sound like Saintsweb, . The current 6 would all struggle in the Premier League. waste of time saying “ what if we’d beaten “ again all top 6 clubs could say that . Whether we are promoted or stay in the EPL the big deal is how Sports Republic react to it. They have said if we get promoted they have no intention of spending the whole season near the relegation area. ive been accused of being a cheerleader for SR but havnt heard anything for ages. I like RM but I would not be at all be surprised if he is replaced next season. They did similar at Göztepe. seriously we have fans pointing out our last goal was a handball.
