I remember thinking we would’ve done far better in the Premiet League than Derby, but looking at the team now (Bale still would’ve left) we would have massively struggled.
This reminds me a little bit of the Oldham game in 2010, where we had a winnable home game after a late win at Yeovil, we drew 0-0 and our season was done.
Hopefully tonight is different.
It’s weird, I’ve got to the point where I’m kind of hoping either Stephens, Bednarek or Harwood-Bellis get a knock so Martin is almost forced to stop this Pep/Stones nonsense.
But he’ll probably do it with someone else.
No team in this league is good enough to drop Kyle Walker-Peters, yet we did it anyway.
Playing Stephens doesn’t bother me that much, if he’s that keen to start him, drop one of the others and play two full-backs.
Half-Time was weird.
Giving about ten minutes to a shark taken penalties against a dog, then giving about 2 minutes to one of our greatest ever strikers.
