Having people head hunted for bigger clubs and bigger roles is a good thing.
-
I'm going to assume that we as a club are not in the business of assuming 20 year olds in their first season in first team football will be the best they will ever be and ship them out on loan the moment we go up a level. It's not what we sold Shea himself and isn't exactly a shining example to any young players we want to sign or keep.
-
Literally says he’s gone mate. His contract has run out, he’s not at the club and the manager says he’s gone. Not sure we need to overthink this one.
-
Based purely on the contract situation if we get anywhere near what we are paying for Downes it’ll be great work.
-
The club disclose all sorts of stuff to journalists because it helps them control narrative. Maybe it was the agent in this specific case but either way, The Athletic have every right to publish it.
-
Is anyone still paying for the club content though, really? They have been open since we got relegated there would be no specific club content going forward so I’m not sure why anyone expects different. Like you, I still pay £1. There’s ways to keep that going once they stop offering you to stay. I don’t expect any Saints content though.
-
Probably worth remembering that even before joining us those untried City kids were playing at levels that were well above any of our academy players were.
-
I do enjoy a good old fashioned dismissal of players as "not PL proven" and even more so this season when people seem oblivious to the fact that our squad is littered with players yet to prove themselves at PL level.
-
I see everyone is going through the "looking longingly at random PL side transfer activity" stage of pre season now.
-
People are a bit weird about The Athletic aren't they? Acting like they owe the club anything and should be laying on content about them as if it's a given right.
-
So confidential that either the club or the agent told them.
-
Literally saw 1 penalty in this game.
-
You have had a wonderful season, don’t let anyone tell you different. Keep up the great work next season.
-
Fair point. If I had been driving across Spain, Portugal and back through France and felt the need to search out five... not one, two, three, four but FIVE links to back up my rapidly fading point on an internet message board I'd be furious if someone dared to click on them too.
-
Let your apologies be as loud as your criticism.
-
Feels like a sensible approach. What made you do that rather than the classic @Whitey Grandad approach?
-
You’re going to be even more surprised when you read the 5 links you posted and only two of them show examples of the problems you seem to be concerned about. The first link clearly states a technical issue that stopped paper tickets too. The 2nd is from 2022 and USA but yeah highlights your concerns. The 3rd is essentially an FAQ section. The 4th is a concern. The 5th is a forum of posts made in Feb 23 which seem to mirror your posts about being upset about something they’ve announced and not yet experienced but goes dead shortly after.

Alfie House stating ‘no need to panic is all I can say at this stage’ on Twitter tonight. Suggests something is lined up but not able to be announced yet. Also found the cropping of today’s video and pictures of their training odd today. Like they are deliberately hiding coaches.

Yes, it will not work for everyone, just like last seasons system didn’t. I didn’t even have to own a company to know that fact. I also hate to break it to you, because you seem to think Saints will have a whole in house IT department on this but on the basis the app is identical to two others on my phone for other sports and by someone else’s on here is the same as the Euro’s, I’m going to guess it’s not been set up, produced, developed or published by Saints, just branded by them. And guess what, they work by and large, fine. If your experience with apps failing so bad leaves you this stressed then maybe start looking at some of the people you employ.
-
For someone who apparently works for a high tech IT company you seem weirdly incapable of reading and following very simple instructions the club sent you in an email. All the instructions are there, if you cant work it out then ask one of your colleagues or few thousand friends. Try it before deliberately being annoyed at something and making up hypothetical situations.

You’ll be allowed into the game with a lot less fuss than if you turn up arguing all of that whilst having a couple of spare phones in your pocket, that’s what’s in it for you. The only thing that has to go right is turning up with your ticket and hoping the scanner works properly. That’s no different to last season. The only difference is where you hold your ticket, which I think, you think is a bigger deal than it actually is for most people (the others have alternative available to them for a small charge).

.

It’s about as uncomplicated as it could be. The ticket will be on your app, and you open your app and scan it to get in. There’s nothing more complicated this way than having the ticket in your pocket and scanning it. It’s actually just one less thing to forget. There might well be some issues with it at some stage, just like there was issues when people’s paper/card tickets didn’t work, the process will be no less or more inconvenient as it is now.

Open the app and stick the QR code under the scanner. Remember those steps and you will be fine.
