It must be a bloody big pub. They've got a 58,000 capacity stadium and according to Forbes, are the most valuable football team in China, with a team value of US$282 million and have got through to the final four of the FIFA Club World Cup as champions of Asia twice, before losing semi-finals to Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

I guess that like you I'm going to have to imagine it as I never said it. You might care to read what I actually wrote as opposed to what someone like you pretended I'd written.

This is our best pre-season since Koeman's team in 2015. when there was similar positivity and we also scored a lot of goals. PS, Who exactly stated he was better than Upemecano??? I simply asked the question Is Upemecano better than Klarer and got a lot of abuse but no sensible answers. To be honest, I have never seen Upemecano play a match live so I am not in a position to judge him. He has a very good reputation and sounds like a very good player. However, I have seen Klarer play and think he will be a good Premier League central defender for us in the near future.
-
Of course, if you watch him play, you can't help noticing the fact that he is a very good central defender.
-
Ssshh. Apparently it's not OK to praise him and anyone who does is an idiot as the perceived 'wisdom' on here is that he is rubbish and a million miles from ever being a Premier League player.
-
Chelsea have consistently sold some (but not all) of their best players, often when they are still very young, like Kevin de Bruyne, Mo Salah, Lukaku, Courtois and Eden Hazard. But, it has cost them top spot.
-
That is an excellent article. Your son is a very good writer.

Fair comment

PS As for your Jake Sinclair statement, that is just a very poor lie. What I said, many years ago, was that he was our Academy's top scorer at the time and would be worth giving a sub appearance. He then developed 'lifestyle problems', which sadly happens to many youngsters. Maybe your time in prison made you confrontational. Having never had that experience, I don't know what you are going through but hope you pull through.
-
And then there is reality, which is that he didn't. What I said was that Callum Camber's style of play reminded me of Bobby Moore (and still does). Having seen Bobby Moore play many times, including when we beat his West Ham Side 6-2 at the Dell, I can tell you that he was a Rolls Royce of a football player but not a very good defender, He was poor at tackling and heading, which is also true of Chambers, but he read the game very well and was a good passer, which is also true of both of them. Why is it so important for you to knock other people? We all have our different opinions, none of which are perfect. Accept the fact that you are not perfect either and you'll start to get on better with other people.

OK, I'm going to make it as simple as I can for you: Klarer is the most promising of our young central defenders and in my opinion, Dael Fry would be a good buy for us as he is right for our level and would stay with us. I'm certainly not criticising Upecamano, who is also a very good central defender, but I don't see his transfer fee, wages and long-term commitment to our club as being on a par with either Fry's or Klarer's. There is no need for personal insults. My opinion is just my opinion and may be right or wrong. Ultimately, all that matters is that the team we both support does as well as it possibly can. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this season as there are a lot of positives to take from the pre-season so far.
-
Well, in my case, wonder no more, as I've watched him play many times. But, I do wonder how much someone who thinks he's a million miles from a premier league CB has watched him play. I also wonder how much people on here have watched Upamecano or Fry play. They are both good but Fry would be a better fit for us.
-
Is he any better than Klarer? If we're going to buy another central defender, I'd prefer us to get Dael Fry.
-
Hopefully, Klarer will solve this problem for us. I'd like to see us buy Dael Fry from Middlesbrough as well. He should be well within our price range. Then we'd have a great centre back pairing for many years to come.
-
Klarer came on for the last 20 minutes so no more goals conceded and we won 3-1. A good result.
-
We could see him playing in England again this season as his Lille team, which he captained to the best defensive record in the league, are through to the group stage of the Champions League with a good chance of being drawn in the same group as one of the English clubs.
-
He also added a UEFA Nations League winner's medal to his European Championship winner's medal and was voted in the Ligue 1 team of the season. In fact, he's just had the best season of his career so far.
-
He seems to be in the pre-season squad so I wonder if he will make a first team appearance in any of the friendly games? Although he's very young he could be part of the solution to our central defensive problem.
-
Saints have spent £30m on Djenepo and Adams + the deferred payment of £20m on Ings, West Ham £60m on Fornals and Haller, and Leicester £80m on Tielemans, Perez and Justin. Hope that helps.

Like all of the signings RB Leipzig have made since Mitchell arrived, Lookman is under 22 and will be worth a lot more in the future. It will be interesting to see how he and Mitchell's other Leipzig signings, Hannes Wolf, Luan Candido, Amadou Haidara, Nordi Mukiele, Matheus Cunha etc, develop in the future. I guess some of them would have been Saints players if Mitchell had been here.
-
Paul Mitchell strikes again. He is a very good head of recruitment.
-
Adams looks good but we've still got major problems in the centre of our defence.
-
It didn't when he was at Juventus and I doubt very much that it would if Man United were gullible enough to take him.
-
No manager has before at any other club he's ever played at and he's played for some very good managers, like Allegri. Lemina is, and probably always will be, a bit of a Carlos Kaiser.
-
They were two of the easiest to offload as they are young, not absolute turkeys, have good attitudes, are capable of playing regularly, are not on huge salaries and we only wanted small fees for them. The other players we want to get rid of, like Lemina and Carrillo, don't tick many of those boxes. But, so far, on balance, this has still been our best transfer window for some time and Ralph seems to have brought some common sense back to our transfer activity.
