Sunderland 1 Saints 0 Match Reaction

Worst performance of the season. What MP was playing at though.... -
I think the main issue behind this is the fact that it was Clattenberg's first game at Goodison park in 6, yes 6 years. We don't have a good history with him and the club were unhappy with him being appointed as it looked like we were some sort of patsy in an attempt to get him back at Goodison park in a "low key" fixture. As it turned out there was some controversy and now we're trying to get him removed from our fixtures. Something I'm sure all saints supporters would like to see. Exactly the sort of thing SAF would've done and would have been allowed to get away with.

Sorry 4 points.
-
Looking at the table there is 5 points between 17th and 10th. That would suggest that it is all about who we and the other teams bring in over the summer.
-
Can you confirm that you are prepared to say that 39 points with a GD around -15 was sufficient if the team finishing 18th does end up with a worse record than that, irrespective of how many points we get?
-
No it isn't. Because they ALL have to happen
-
All over for the 39 and above club now. They won't win at Arsenal and even a draw won't get them above us. FWIW I still think Wigan will stay up. Norwich or Newcastle will lose both their remaining games and I think they'll beat Villa.
-
That delay was a total of 6 and a half minutes. So probably 9/10 mins of injury time.
-
After today if Chelsea win against Spurs on Wednesday they'll have a weakened team out against Villa next weekend.
-
I can't agree that 39 points WILL see us relegated. Why do you have such faith that all the other teams will get points and we'll get zero?

Where do YOU think we'll finish...

15th. 2 away 1 home left, chances are we'll drop a place or two. -
No, but it is likely by a considerable margin that we are. I'd be more worried if I was a Newcastle, Sunderland, Wigan or Norwich supporter. So 20% of the PL has more to worry about than us.
-
I don't think he was talking about language barriers but soul of the club etc. etc.
-
Making some interesting points about the sheer number of Frenchmen at Newcastle and whether it has gone too far. Saints related as I, along with others I suspect, am expecting an influx of Spanish & Italian passport holders in the summer.
-
I think you're missing the point. People are looking beyond the simple mathematics and considering HOW LIKELY a scenario over the next 3 (4 for some) games is that has Saints finishing 18th.
-
On a stake of ?
-
If we lost the lot everyone else with the exception of Sunderland would probably need 40 to finish above us. Can't see it personally.
-
Looking at the fixtures next week I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us in 10th at 5pm next Saturday. It will probably be difficult to hold on to it after that with 2 of the last 3 away.
-
Ian Pearce.

Winning when expected - can Mauricio Pochettino do it?

I think Reading are past the park the bus stage -
First two are TV bankers. I read somewhere that Sky have 9 and ESPN 1 to pick over the last 3 weekends. The chance of it being on the Monday will go down if Chelsea beat Man U today as Spurs will need to fit in their game against them for a midweek at some stage.
-
This one could be on the Monday as well. Still lots of variables this far out - Europa League, TV games not chosen for that weekend yet etc. etc.
