Really doesn't suit our formation or style of play, unless we change to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2, which I can't see happening, it would be a massive waste of money.
-
Time for him to go out on loan and prove himself. I really just don't think he has the ability to make it at a PL club (what does he offer other than side-wards passing and set pieces, which we rarely score from anyway). Personally, I think VVD should be taking, or at least given a try, with free kicks where were gonna have a shot on goal.
-
 Shall we try and persuade MLT to come out of retirement as well? He's used to getting us out of relegation battles.
-
He'd have also had the chance of European football this year, as well.
-
Wouldn't go as far as this. I've lost a lot of love, support and respect for the bloke due to the way he has acted this season (not re transfer request, but things that have happened behind the scenes). Don't think he deserves the treatment that Lallana gets, well from me anyway, but certainly nowhere near the respect Lambert received. I think, when he goes, for me i'll just treat it as any other player. which is a shame considering what he has done with (not for) this club.

So apparently Morgan knows about the history of the club. Perhaps that's why it took so long to get this one over the line. Must of taken him a good couple of weeks to read about them first dugouts, first floodlights, and first supporter wearing a hat. Time will only tell how good MS is. Personally, I always held Wanyama in higher regard and feel like he gave MS (and the rest of the team) the freedom to play like he did.

I'd say the 'always the victims' chant does bring up Heysel, which they try and brush under the carpet. Horrible horrible bunch
-
Yes, which is why I said we don't have them in itchen north...
-
But people in Itchen north also sing 'we sing our own songs' (in response to Spurs OWTS) followed by 'we've got VVD' (sung by every team in the country) a simple bunch some of them. Starting to be more like Northam every week. Lucky we don't have any dinlos in fancy dress.... yet.
-
Basically sums them up. Hence always the victims.
-
This is sung in the Itchen pretty much every time they play down here. Would say the hatred towards them has been getting progressively worse every year. Always gets a reaction from them.

hahahaha do you also worry that you won't wake up in the morning?

May be the added investment we require. As long as they keep the same infrastructure in place (les ect...) and sit quietly in the background then I think we'll be okay. Pray these aren't anything Vincent tan! Wouldn't imagine they are if they let Kat hold onto 15% though! Thanks for everything Markus/Kat, you will forever live in the memory of every saints fan (maybe now it's time for a statue or rename a stand??? I know Kat wasn't keen originally), but if you aren't willing / don't have the funds to invest then it's the right time to sell. Pretty sensible business decision for Kat if she decides to keep 15%. IF new investors push us onto that next level she could sell her stake for a reasonable sum, I would imagine. I wonder if plans are really to redevelop / change stadium and therefore added investment is required?

Yes, Tadic rightly, had a go at him after not issuing a free kick when Clyne wrestled him to the ground. Interestingly Lucas done the same thing when he thought he was fouled in the box (foul was actually outside the box, but he gave nothing anyway) - no yellow. Milner, Lucas and Clyne should have all seen yellows Without doubt the worst refereeing display I've seen all season, in fact, I'm not sure I can remember one worse. Very close to cheating IMO
-
I just hope he doesn't get a call up to the national team in the next major tournament:scared:
-
A couple of us flying into and making a weekend of it in Manchester. It'll be my 3rd Visit to Burnley, but i'll never forget that god awful wave to the crowd from Tadic, just before he missed the pen, the last time we played there For anyone who's making their first trip, the cricket club (right next to the ground) is a decent, away friendly (although I believe there was a bit of trouble before and after the last game), pre game drinking spot.

This! Is a player theoretically not in breach of contract if they refuse to play? I guess it's a slightly grey area as they'd have to prove he has outright refused to play. I'm not a fan of West Ham or their transfer dealings, but I really hope they dig their feet in and refuse to sell. Player power has seriously become out of hand.
-
Was it ever confirmed that he was sacked for having an affair with Jose's missus? I know these where the rumors at the time, but have never heard if it was true or not.
-
Hopefully they do. They hate him down there and he seems to be unable to get the squad with the largest budget (I would imagine, I haven't checked if this is factual) out of the worst division in the FL. Also, why would he want to leave?!? They're sleeping giants and with that fanbase, I can't imagine anyone wanting to leave... Perhaps it's the pressure of expectation he can't handle
-
JRod for me Can also be deployed on the Left or Right (as under poch, when he showed his best form) when we get a new striker or Austin is back fit.
-
Time for Les to tell SSN we've lodged a bid of £1.5 mil and Fonte....
-
Hopefully it's only 2 or 3 changes (Mcqueen, Hoj & Sims for Bertrand, Classie & Redmond as they looked shattered by the end yesterday) then the fully rotate against Norwich. Jay really needs to start so he gets time up top + I thought he was excellent yesterday. Pace, strength and link up play were all a really asset to the team on the counter when you've got 1 up front. Also, I can see Burnley sitting back (exact same game plan as us last night) and us having more possession than last night, so not sure long is the right option. Looking slightly further ahead, I think the Norwich game is one that both sides could do without. I wouldn't be too disappointed if we played a team similar to the one at their place.

They have Chelsea the following Tuesday after our second leg, hopefully they'll have one eye on that as well In fact, if you look at their next 12 fixtures they're pretty tough/massive games for them, pretty sure Klopp wont want 120 minutes in the second leg; United (a) Plymouth (a) Swansea (h) Saints (h) Chelsea (h) Hull (a) Spurs (h) Leicester (a) Arsenal (h) Burnley (h) City (a) Everton (h)

Still not seen us loose a semi final game Bad news, unable to make 2nd leg due to work commitments
