Probably because Haller is about as effective as Shane long and when he actually had to defend he pretty much gifted them a goal, if it hadn’t been for a top save.

As per the start of the season, still missing some creativity in the middle or 10’s. Walcott just doesn’t cut it for me, unless played as a striker. missed vestergaard again tonight and his ability to build a counter from the back, stephens doing his best to fuck it up again. He just doesn’t have the concentration to play at this level. We’ve been sussed out and when plan A doesn’t work we get a bit stuck for ideas, probably because they’re not actually that good at football and we rely on a few to get us out of a hole. top 10 looking unlikely if we carry on in this form.

Experience doesn’t mean that he’s any good, it’s easy to forget that most of his time spent in the squad we’ve been battling relegation and the only reason Ralph played him last season was because he’s pretty vocal. of course this is all my opinion but I think he’s poor defensively. Ball watches, gets caught out of position and isn’t great in the air. he played well yesterday, but Fulham had nothing up top, I think mitrovic would have cause him issues. I think on paper if you were to look at him and Romeu, Diallo fits our style a bit better than Romeu, however Romeu has just been playing soo well it’s impossible to drop him at the moment. I like Diallo though and think he’ll progress to be a top player for us.

Imo a bigger miss than Danny. 1 because stephens just isn’t anywhere near PL standard and 2 because his ability to play from the back into midfield using both feet is hugely underrated. A big loss. Mad, like many, I couldn’t see myself saying this 6 months ago.

Their assistant has been appointed until the end of the season, so won’t be going for him any time soon. id love Ralph to have 1 more season with us. Given a gentleman’s agreement (or even a clause in his contract) that if a top 4 club offer x then he can leave. Both winners, if a top 4 club doesn’t value him at x, then they either don’t get the player or don’t rate him highly enough. realistically, if he doesn’t sign and we sell him in the summer what’s he worth..£30-40m (anything less is worthless selling as his goals will keep us up and guarantee 30-40m anyway)? If he does sign what’s he worth £50m (max)? it’s not going to increase his value significantly this summer, imo. It’s next January where we’re likely to start twitching.

It’s just the agent and the club playing hardball. The more interest from other clubs, the more his value increases in terms of wages. I suspect he’ll sign a new one either during or after the January window and then leave in the summer or following summer. I have doubts about Bertrand, though.
