  1. Spot on. However, unfortunately, this quota is going to force that to happen. it’s going to come to a point where a highly qualified white man isn’t going to get a job (or potentially lose a job) because clubs need to fill a quota and tick a few boxes.
  2. No one gives a shit about your opinion when you clearly have no idea what your talking about 😂😂 doughnut.
  3. But that is no different to a time before PPV/Covid. When you look at it, what’s going to draw more customers Liverpool vs United or Burnley vs West Brom? Sky / BT are a business, they’re going to show what they deem best for their business, not what’s best for fans of smaller clubs. id actually argue there isn’t an imbalance at the moment. Sunday as an example, Arsenal Leicester would be the 4pm kick off 9/10. This week, that was PPV and wolves Newcastle was the 4pm game.
  4. Good on the club and I hope we stand by our decision. Appointing / not considering a candidate because of their race is racist in itself. So much for the best person for the job. given that every player we seem to pull from the academy these days is black, I very much doubt there is an issue with racism at the club.
  5. Don’t really get the fuss over this, to be honest. Either pay the £15 or don’t watch it (legally). Get rid of PPV and you won’t be able to watch the games anyway... if you’re a ST holder you’re refunded the cost of the ticket anyway. Im amazed the PL haven’t taken this opportunity to go for a subscription service. All the usually non televised games at £20 a month. They’d clean up. They could even run a deal with Netflix / Amazon if they didn’t want the hassle of creating a streaming service. £15 is steep to watch a game you wouldn’t usually watch, but for saints (or a club you support) I’d say it’s about right. Especially considering broadcasters aren’t going to run it at a loss.
  6. Could see him at Chelsea in a season or 2.

    Obafemi or Adams?

He always has been for me in terms of what he offers outside of the box. Quick, strong, good movement and pretty decent link up play. Had he scored one of his early chances last season, I think he’d have gone on to get 10-15. Him and ings look perfectly suited to our style. Although, he still doesn’t look like a natural finisher. Seems to snatch at chances a bit
  8. Anyone half decent out there we’d have won this 4/5-0. He’s been too slow and given the ball away on numerous occasions. You could give MOTM to anyone out there, he’d be my last choice
  9. Sitting too deep. Going to cost us.
  10. Would be the most saints thing to do and throw this away. But that being said, we’ve looked very very good (Redmond aside, who looks like the Redmond lacking confidence under purl). Everton look very average though.

    Danny Ings

Suspect it’s to retain his value at £50/£60m, rather than the idea of him staying for full length of his contract.
  12. I perhaps naively took from your DM that your source has indicated that the player we will be signing isn’t Deeny? Much more exciting name.... (waiting for Dave fizzy to get a hard on about this one).
  13. 0 chance of us being interested in deeney. Agent rubbish to pressure someone who might be interested into making a move

  16. Turkish is the only ITK on here. Hypo was pretending and got exposed by ‘egg’. Egg on ones face, you may say. Once the deal is done, I’m sure Turkish will confirm.
  17. Despite at the time and still being pretty underwhelmed by this, if we play him off of ings, think he’ll be a handy player. After all, he can’t be any worse than long and obafemi. my concern is that it’s a position we really didn’t need as I do not see him being able to play in one of the 10’s that hassenhuttl likes and still think we lack a bit of creativity to break down teams who’ll put 10 men behind the ball. Everton fans seem glad they’re shot of him, mixed reaction from us. would I rather we had him than didn’t... yes. Would I rather we spend the funds improving a position / role we need (I.e a no10)... yes.
  18. I wouldn’t / don’t want either, but lallana would be far better suited to what we currently require than Walcott. RLC would have been perfect for us, for most likely a few extra million £. It’s a real shame.
  19. I’d have preferred lallana. A long way past his best, not what we need. Even at 50% I expect his wages will be up there as one of our highest earners. Can’t see us signing him permanently in the summer (should hope not) and wasted our domestic loan on someone who doesn’t improve our team. is he any better than Boufal? I’m not convinced he is, certainly not better than Redmond, Armstrong or dejenepo. massively underwhelmed by this. Textbook saints of a desperation deal towards the end of the window.
  20. He’s not wrong though, is he. Theo would be a dreadful signing for us (unless we plan to play him off ings as back up to adams - not really needed) and I’d expect he’ll be on roughly the amount RLC is (after Chelsea contribute £100k towards it). strikes me a desperation, if I’m honest. I’m not convinced he’s any better than dejenpo.
  21. Given we need a 1st/2nd choice attacking midfielder, yes it is.
  22. 1-0 loss... WBA with 10 men behind the ball and hit us on the counter
  23. Redmond or Armstrong’s place, I would have thought. He’s naturally a no10 worth remembering that we don’t actually play a traditional winger. They’re more wide 10’s, dropping into space and feeding the strikers. should we play 3 in midfield, he’ll play slightly deeper I expect. Probably more similar to Armstrong than redmond, but offers us something we don’t currently have. Strength and power on the ball and that little bit of creativity.
  24. Still think (and hope) we’ll get RLC on loan. Offers us something a bit different. is sessegon any different or better than what we have? I don’t think so.
  25. Apparently he failed a medical, so no way we’ll sign him.
